I missed ILD (yesterday for my comm) because I was sick as hell and hiding in bed all day. The weather has also been unreliable, so plans changed from a picnic to lunch, and a trip to the art gallery at the last minute. So I'm a big miffed I couldn't make it.

Oh well. Our Christmas meet is coming up soon enough.

Hosted the ILD Christmas meet for the comm, ate loads of great food, snapped outfit shots & then went to the cinema/German market. Everyone had a good chin-wag and hopefully a great time. I have so much love for my local frillies

My comm celebrated yesterday. We went to a local garden, had dinner and then the last of us went to see Christmas lights at a nearby school. Small turnout, but it was fun. It was nice to just hang out with everyone since it was pretty casual.

I went to a High Tea with my comm/another comm joined and it was really lovely. The weather was crap but all the girls were so charming, and the staff at the event were really nice!

Even the normals seemed to be a little more polite than normal (except some people from the wedding also going on looked kind of put off woops)

It was my first ILD and I'll definitely do more, since it was such a great experience!

Got dressed up and visited my parents, who raved over my outfit. It was nice. I got yelled at on the bus though. Apparently wearing nice clothes means I must be stuck up and think I'm better than everyone else? Whatever, lady. Excluding my coat and gloves the entire outfit was only slightly over €100 so the only thing keeping you from looking like a "fancy snob" like me is lack of effort, really.

It's easier at this point to avoid meets instead of throwing a fit when someone takes a camera out, which I'm starting to think is the only way they'd actually listen to me.

I love lolita so much and I have been slowly amassing a wardrobe for the past year and a half. I use to be in a very small and judgmental area but I am now in a super kind community. However, a lot of the girls/guys dress so badly. I am appalled by some of the things I have seen pass for "outfits". I never say anything mean to anyone or talk shit but it makes me sad that I don't have a well dressed comm.
