Kamijo just needs to stick with more dramatic music, cause the rest is just so blah. Also I feel he pushed his voice so far, and now just sounds horrid. In other words Kamijo just needs to stop for a while.

In my opinion his voice went downhill since Destiny the lovers. He started to try to sing louder and louder, at some seemed he was shouting more than singing and guess that damaged his voice (plus he smoked a lot too).
He could use some rest, or at least he should try to sing in a more softer way.

Haven't heard Dolly, but I agree with Acid Black Cherry.
Another band that did it right, and even way before Moulin Rouge was E'm~grief~.
Seduce is a very jazzy cabaret-like song, but still keeps their heavier-Malice Mizer feel.
I was specting Moulin Rouge to be like that when it was anounced, so as you can imagine, I got really dissapointed.

I thought Holy Grail was a nice album, but Versailles last album was just a train wreck, and their last live was just as bad. In a way Im sort of happy they are on hiatus, just cause Kamijo didn't sound good. But I still do miss them, they made great music.

Last Versailles album had 'I don't even know what I'm doing anymore' all written over it, and the last live looked soo poor compared to the previous ones. Buy yeah I still miss them, and they are still one of my favourite bands.

Give E'm a chance, you might like them, they had a Malice Mizer feel, except a lot heavier and modern, very defined sound and very polished looks.
