Lacemarket is really the biggest spot right now. The problem I think is that the yen is so weak right now and western market so overpriced often times that there's no reason to buy from western sellers unless you need to buy domestic to avoid customs, or someone has a dream item of yours. Buying 2ndhand and even new from Japan is just so much better value most of the time now.

How much should I expect to pay for Rose Flocky Chiffon JSK (2012) (VM)?
If I want to buy Cadre du Chat, would I get a better deal at japanese auction sites, japanse second hand shops, or western 2nd hand sales? I've seen it being sold for around $350 both at yahoo and lacemarket, do you think it could pop up for less than that at yahoo, mbok, CC or Tokyo Aalice? Usagi maybe?
Do you happen to know if Chat and Lapin tend to cost the same or is one of them more popular than the other?

Rose Flocky is pretty popular. I'd expect to pay at least 200, maybe 250 if you want it quicker rather than waiting for a good price. I feel like I just saw them post that they're doing special sets with it for Christmas, though... I don't know if that's using leftover stock or what.

Juliette et Justine tends to go for about retail or above on Japanese auction sites, at least for popular prints. Once you consider fees, you'll likely get a better deal on lacemarket, oddly enough. Chat is a bit more popular than Lapin but there are also more of them on the market, so I think the price is about the same but Chat pops up more frequently.

Do you know if VM ever released a version of the Rose Flocky Chiffon JSK with back shirring? Their standard measurements are about 2cm too small for me :(

Yes, 2012 rose flocky chiffon was shirred.
I got mine for $300 and consider it a good deal. I have never seen it sell for under $280 and have seen it go for over $400.
They have made the dress many times but only once shirred and only once in the gorgeous rose fabric.
This year they released it with boring fabric and no shirring.

Yeah, that's what I had been thinking! I'll just get it from LM then, less fuss and the price should be almost the same.

I'd never fit into VM as well, so this is the only dress from them that I love and will *actually* fit me so yeah. I need it.
Is it still too small for you? In my case, when it's less than 5 cm too small I always alter garments. Being such a small diffference it's very easy to add a small thin strip of fabric at the side seams on the bodice. If the dress has waistties I use that fabric, the ties can still be used afterwards because usually you just need a small piece of them. This particular JSK has no ties but I'm sure you could find a very similar blue fabric and it won't be noticable when worn because your arms usually cover that area..
I do this a lot, I have bought garments I perfectly know will be too small without alteration. One of my most worn items is a Beth skirt that was almost 8 cms to small for my natural waist. I atered it and now wear it all the time, everyone comliments me on it... it's so pretty :)

The rose version is very popular and with good reason. It is stunning and the only release that is shirred.
It sells very rarely. Once someone gets it they are unlikely to let it go. I have it in black and in peacock. Even if it is really expensive it is worth it.

In general: How much do print bonnets usually go for 2ndhand in comparison to the matching headbow? I know most headbows tend to go for around $30-35 unless it's a super popular series, but I don't know whether bonnets go for more or less- more because they tend to be more elaborate, more expensive at retail and harder to find; or less because headbows are easier for more people to wear and therefore more in demand?
