Can we have a thread for j-fashion/cosplay/lolita related Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals?

>> No.7958912

I know Baby SF is having a Black Friday sale in-store on Friday through Sunday in addition to a Cyber Monday sale online (Monday only).

Any word on AP?

>> No.7959114

Arda is doing a cyber monday sale.

I have a question, there's a wig and some supplies I want to buy. How fast do things sell out? Like, if I have everything ready to go, am I gonna get fucked if I try to pay for everything like 2 minutes after it starts, is it that crazy? Or is it just like, I should get my crap asap because shit will be gone in an hour. It's mostly the supplies (a razor comb, wefting needles, some tape) I'm worried about selling out during the sale, not as much as the wig since I don't think it's a style or color that people are running en masse to grab?

>> No.7959459

Dumb question but are there any sites selling entire cosplays on sale for Cyber Monday?

And how much is the Arda wig sale?

>> No.7960434

>>7959467
Oh wait, jesus, I'm dumb and can't read apparently. If the styling accessories are exluded then I'll just buy them right now and buy my wig later during the sale.

Anyone know if GLW is doing a sale this year? I like a few of their wigs but only ever buy them if there's a sale or I have a coupon code.

>> No.7960601

They're doing something right now until thanksgiving, that's up on their website. The only other black friday thing they're doing is only available to HLC members though that I know of.

>> No.7960741

I'm for sure hitting up my Jo-Anns for some fleece items that are like half off and to see their sewing machine section since I need a new one.
I'm sure crafts stores like Michael's and shit are gonna be sale crazy too.

Bumping for actually clothes though. Omocat is looking sexier ever season and I'm dying for a 20% off or something.

Not that fast since they aren't doing the limited number coupons this year. I'd expect a lot of stock to be gone by the end of day.

>Hospitals=/=retail stores.

There's no reason why a retail store should be open on Thanksgiving outside of trying to get more of that money that could be earned on Black Friday weekend/Cyber Monday.

Mind you most places are closed on Christmas so why not Thanksgiving, which is another holiday to spend time with your family?

Also most of these retail stores don't give people the options of opting out (having to work or be fired,) and some of them don't pay overtime or it's something b.s. like 25 cents per hour. If you can give me a valid reason on why retail stores, not any you mention above, should be open on Thanksgiving without a greedy standpoint I will shut up.

No you're missing the point. People had the option to opt out of working for the holidays and they used to get paid overtime back in the day. Not anymore which is why they are protesting.

Either you don't/didn't have a job or never worked retail but most places are not open on Christmas so why the hell should they be open on Thanksgiving too? There are people who don't celebrate Christmas but lo and behold retail stores are not open so what makes that better/more special than Thanksgiving? Both are days to spend time with your family.

I worked retail at Banana Republic and we had the option to work Thanksgiving with double paid overtime. Not 'you have to do this and get no overtime, 25 cents per hour and you also have to work Black Friday or be Fired," type of bullshit.

At the long run the people who are making the buck are the CEOs and the owners, not the actual labor workers which is why I don't shop in stores on Thanksgiving.

None of us bitched and moaned or blamed other people for needing to work, we just did it because it was what we needed to do.

My stent in retail ended 8 years ago so I have no idea at what point in time you had the pleasure of getting out of black friday but that is not commonplace.

Stores close on Christmas because its a religious holiday, look at Easter too.

Stop right there. Some people can't quit anon. Some people have to work that crap job no matter what. I don't know about you but some people can't just herp derp find a job like that.

Are you saying that people shouldn't have the option to be with their families? The only people making anything again are the CEOs and bosses not the workers open during Thanksgiving. If the workers were making something then explain why people are protesting?

It doesn't matter that Christmas is a religious holiday there are some people who don't celebrate it.

>Protip: Christmas started off as a Pagan holiday.

There are some people who do and there are some people who don't. I'm going by this quote (if you are the same anon:)

>The stores are open to make money, but guess what not everyone celebrates Thanksgiving, a lot of people don't even have family around to celebrate with that day so there's no reason for them not to go shopping. If you're not celebrating Thanksgiving anyway, hey go shop.

So by that logic then all stores should be open Christmas too right?

Also again retail stories don't have the same priority as hospitals. Hospitals have a reason to stay open. Retail stores do not.

I worked retail four years ago thank you very much and I didn't 'get out' of working Thanksgiving. We had the option to work double overtime or not because my company understood that people want to spend time with their families.

This isn't New Years eve anon. But I'm going to stop because I don't want to shitpost or derail this thread.
