I was going to be a third, but then I stopped to analyze why I liked the pic, it turns out I hate everything except the little black dress. It's even got a lolita flare to the silhoutte as well, quite flattering considering she's not skinny or pretty.

If anyone else speaks up to say they like this dress, I would view that more as a testament to why LBDs are popular, and not so much an endorsement of the outfit itself.

There's a specific style of dress called "fit and flare" in normalfag fashion, it just means the top part is fitted and the bottom part is flared (sounds a lot like lolita, I know). It's flattering for a lot of women because it hides a lot of flaws, you can chose a neckline that suits your boobs and the flared skirt will hide if you have fat thighs or shapeless thighs or whatever. Some versions do have lace across the top or pearls on the bodice, I'm pretty sure by now all shops have some version of this silhoutte.

And black because it's a safe colour for a lot of women and occassions. So long as you're not one of those people who get completely washed out by black, you could wear a shorrt black dress to almost any party and not worry if your dress is too bright and flashy or too dark and glum, black cocktail dresses are nearly always acceptable. That's why it's touted as a wardrobe staple.

Pic is more the kind of dress that I'm referring to. The one in OP's image has the same silhoutte and is black. I think that's why she's almost a complete mess and yet some girls still pick up that the dress silhoutte looks good on her.

I think this is stupid. Ringlets are the ideal for lolita. Any kind of hair can work in the style, but just as bone straight and flat hair would need to be styled to fit the aesthetic, curly hair also needs to be cared for and made to look nice. Curls are harder because they often look messy or frizzy, but it is definitely doable. Don't say that just because someone has an afro means they look nice in the style, afros are goddanm beautiful but they aren't aesthetic and you have to work to make the hair look nice.
