Would anyone know how to turn a translucent fabric into an opaque one with a translucent gradient?

I'd imagine the process would be the same as >>7885208 but with different ingredients.

...Anyone know what that ingredient be? Or would I have to just spraypaint it and hope for the best?

You can use the exact technique, but using worbla instead of cardboard and then cover with liquid latex. You just need to be careful to use the right kind of paint so that it doesn't dissolve the latex.

Here's an in-progress shot of the horns I'm making using this tutorial. I wanted something that would have a more organic look, so the ridges from the cardboard aren't terrible. As other anons have noted, this technique does require a lot of finishing to look good.
