Actually, yeah, for this character it can be.

I followed a furry who often dressed as Minerva and made Youtube videos of herself showing off the costume. She had a giant head made for her by a friend and she uses a white zentai suit. She has a tail for the costume, but she's never able to use it because it's actually larger than she is and would be heavy and prone to dragging along the floor. She discussed using perhaps a belt to secure it, but that still hadn't worked for her.

She no longer updates and I posted here before and other anons agreed that gijinka is probably going to be the easiest since a stuffed tail will look retarded.

I would love to post with progress on my first and current costume, but, I had been having some technical issues, so I am just starting. I'm working on a yamne'e from the Halo games. I even have written a back story for him, and have asked a linguist to create a language.

My number one cosplay dream is to get a Crystal Chronicles group together, with at least one of each race. It will never happen.

First of all, in nearly every image I've ever seen of Minerva Mink her long ass tail is dragging anyway, I vaguely remember hearing somewhere that it was often like that on purpose to look reminiscent of a ballroom gown, in order to make her look more graceful, but I get what you're saying.

I know there are plenty of fursuiters that have big tails on their suits despite the size and weight, they simply build special harnesses that go under the suit and run through the tail that braces the weight against their bodies so that despite the size and weight, the tail doesn't drag. Moreover, if you want the tail to be big or fluffy, there's no golden rule that it has to be completely solid. With a little ingenuity, you could make the tail hollow to reduce overall weight and still make it soft and fluffy. I doodled and example just off the top of my head. You could theoretically make a hollow "core" of sorts that creates a negative space, and still pack stuff or whatever you want around it to add body, and even implement a harness for additional stability. Think about how big Victorian ballgowns are held up. You think Queen Elizabeth walk around with 700 petticoats? No, there was a bone structure under her dress that held it up. You could do the exact same thing.

It won't be easy. It'll take some out-of-the-box thinking and a little science, but it's doable. Why not scour yaffaffinity or the fursuiting thread for advice on that harness.

I would love to do Ran from Ran to Haiiro no Sekai, but there are quite a few problems that I have doing this one. The manga isn't well known, Ran's wig looks like a nightmare to make (I'm still debating whether to sew multiple wigs together or dye wefts and sew it on a main wig), I'm going to have to lose quite a bit of weight to get her silhouette, and I'm not even her skin tone. I'm thinking of trying to talk my boyfriend into cosplaying Outarou but he also has to lose weight. Still, it's a huge motivator for me to stick to my exercise routine and I intend to make it happen one day.

I don't know if this would count as mascot cosplay or what, but I would love to get some tokubros together and cosplay the real stars of Kyuryuger, the four Deboss generals.

From left to right; Aigaron the soldier of sorrow, Dogold the soldier of fury, Candelira the soldier of joy, and Luckyuro the spy of smiles.

These would probably be horrendously hot to wear, but damn it would be cool. Unfortunately, I don't even know a single tokubro near me. I doubt I could ever get a full Deboss crew together. I would do one on my own, but it just wouldn't be the same.

The first UA series got a lot of press when it came out, I think you'd definitely be recognized. And since it's such a striking design, you'd likely get stopped by people who don't even know who the White Violin is.

The vast majority of my cosplay list consists of characters (often minor ones) from either more obscure shows or just things that are so old no one cares about them anymore. People might get a kick out of recognizing the character and appreciate the nostalgia, but I've resigned myself to cosplaying alone a lot.

I want to cosplay from the series Katanagatari so much but so far at any convention I've met maybe 5 people who knew the series.

I absolutely loved the anime and thought the art style was really beautiful and unique. Took me a couple episodes to warm up to it but I just loved the character designs and loved Togame and Shichika.

The Maniwa group of ninjas are based off of animals and their costume designs are really really adorable but maybe I'm just a huge sucker for jewel tones and colorful pallets.

Really tempted to either cosplay the Phoenix (second row, second character) the Moth (first row, third character) or the Penguin (third row, second character).

I'd really want a group since their Ninja groups are usually in threes but eeh. Maybe someday.

Dont give a fuck about being recognized, do it because you love that fucking character, I've cosplayed for old or really new shit and still feel happy even if my cosplay is crappy as fuck. I cosplayed Sona back in 2010 and every single person called me Miku, my friend was Shaco and they called him Harley Quinn, another one cosplayed Gragas and they only called him summer santa and I've cosplayed from crappy unknown vocaloid songs (weeb past) and I even cosplayed Maylene from Kuroshitsuji after the hype was over (before circus ark was announced). Don't be afraid of not being recognized and if someone does it's because they love the series/anime/game as much as you do and you will know who is a real fan. Dont go with the current. Make me proud /cgl/

I'd love to make a baby Lagi dragon to carry around with me. I mean the dragon isn't reborn until the end of the game but i'm not carrying around a giant dragon prop as cool as that'd be lol

I went to Otakon as Killy from Blame! before the manga was even out in the states. As big as the con was, a whole two people recognized me. One shrugged me off and the other flipped out in joy.

Yeah, her wings are actually here hair and grow out the back of her head. Later in the series for whatever reason they lose their wing shape and they trail behind her like regular long hair.
