Ehhh, eikkibunny's photos look really shooped and her wig is just the epitome of unstyled. I do, however, really like jadespr1tes Mioda, despite other's opinions, but the rest just seems like tryhard "tumblr famous" pandering bait.
It just seems kind of sad that in every DR thread everyone throws the same names around, even if they have mediocre costumes and looks, when there are probably better cosplayers who just aren't as well known, or don't have as many followers. if its heat resistant you can use hot water to straighten it then recurl it with looser curls or make it wavy. alt is a blow dryer on medium heat while brushing it out, just always be careful of damaging/melting the fibers

I don't mind clothing colours being a little bit different but for wigs it does irk me (like the nanami in your reply) when the shade isn't exactly close at all.

Alternatively you can argue the DR stage Junko has a blonde wig, so there has to be some kind of error in colour interpretation?

I think any colour changes have to be to ones within the character's 'palette'. Junko doesn't have any gold tones in her outfit, and Nanami matching her hair to her skirt is a bad idea. I do agree with >>7835948 that blacks can be stylised nicely e.g. Pekoyama's top + Nanami's tights to dark teal, Ibuki's skirt and collar to navy, Fukawa's uniform to whatever. It'd be cool to see a Kirigiri with purple-toned everything too, boots and skirt, but bright wigs and ties for her are just wrong.

The only reason I was dressed that was as Chihiro is because I was originally supposed to have a different wig for that outfit, but it didn't come in time for the con and I had friends who were begging me to cosplay from Dangan Ronpa since they were. Chihiro's outfit was too hot to wear, so I slapped my Chihiro wig on the maid outfit I was supposed to wear to the con regardless. The Leon decided to join me because couples cosplay and he was trying to be a nice boyfriend.

yeah for some reason length and shape is hard to match up. i got the puffy skirt going on my cosplay, but i didn't know how badly the pleats would weight the skirt down. before pleats it was at a really good length, but the pleats took it down to a few inches above my knee, i'm so disappointed in myself for not realizing that would happen

though i'd rather see long skirts with the right shape over flat ones

definitely looks weird, like not fabric meant for kimonos. i think its some stretchy fabric. i dont remember what it is, but i remember seeing it in a different color a few weeks ago and it looked very similar. based off the paint job, she probably made it. i guess she couldnt find a different fabric in that color or something
