I bought the high waist version because high waist usually looks better on me, but it fits me more like an empire waist. Now I'm wondering if I should have bought this one

You can lower/resew the buttons on the strap if the waist looks too high, you'd be surprised what a difference an inch or two makes. I altered mine because the waist looked high and now it looks better imo.

I also switched out the flimsy ribbon in the back for a green ribbon and it looks nicer

Honestly the tights are amazing, where did you get them? And even though there's no red in the dress the heels and wig look really good. Maybe next time you could paint your nails to match them though, since the colour of the polish is slightly different from the other reds.

Also found this on a google search, ignoring the terrible coord the boots look like they might be the bodyline ones with the scalloped edge.
