How do people do this?
After spending an incredible amount of time and effort on a cosplay the last thing I would want is to stick it in a pool of questionable water and potentially fuck it up.

I can't help looking at these and imagining right after the photo is taken the cosplayer getting up, drenched in lake/creek/ocean water with parts of the costume falling off, the fabric sticking to their skin, that nasty feeling of wearing wet clothing (and then imagining that its hot and humid or cold outside). Then imagining them having to change out, peeling the wet wig and fabric layers off, craft foam armor falling apart, desperate to get a towel and dry clothes on.
