What's your favorite method for Elsa's ice bodice, seagulls? Either one you've made or just one you've seen. I'm having a hard time finding a starting point for mine.

Here are some of my favorites. Sorry for the crappy collage.

First one is Nashcon Castiel and the glued on sequins I believe.
Second is The Artfully Artful Dodger who has sewn in both sides of the sequins.
Third is Yurai with painted plastic that was glued down.
Last is Aicosu with glued on foil paper.

I the think the second looks the most durable and has the best shine to it.

I did sequins for mine, I cut round ones into rectangles and glued them on. I like the sequin effect but I'm not happy with how mine turned out (it's too ordered) so I think I'll end up redoing it. Personally I like the look with the handsewn rectangle sequins like number 2 here >>7692456 has.

Thank you! The braid was definitely an issue, I plan on completely restyling the wig before I wear it next. I was having wig issues all day tbh - my lacefront tape didn't work at all so it kept slipping, and then the braid tangled in the silver rectangle that I placed poorly on the left of my boob.

I like that the sequins change colour since it seems to do so in the movie but I can see why people wouldn't. If I redo mine I think I'll get a few different colours of sequin to mix in to what I already have.

I always see concept art from Disney and then wonder why the fuck they didn't use it. This dress is so much more elegant and queenly than the thing they put on Elsa and the "armpit cape" actually makes more sense here. I felt the same way about the Tangled concepts.

Yep, I'm not at all happy with the fit of the bodice. By itself it fits pretty great and can cinch nicely but once I added the sequins it became more blocky and couldn't tighten as well as it could before. Add to it that my lacing had loosened a lot by 4pm (plus a rather unflattering angle) and you get a very awkward and poor fit. I'm definitely going to be improving it before I wear it again. And yeah, I could stand to lose a few pounds but oh well.

OUAT has always had pretty realistic hair and makeup. So I'm not surprised they went this route with Elsa, rather than the ~super accurate~ route cosplayers take. Like a lot of live action movies, it's more about recreating the characters in real life, rather than trying to look like a 2d (or in this case, 3d CG) character.
