Eh, as someone whos active and into my towns punk scene, seeing all these "punk rock" versions of characters lately is kind of embarrassing.

Eh, I always figured she did it because she was a fan of high fashion. Her artwork looks very much like croqui figures, with how tall and slim they are. Plus, she always was adding things from fashion shows or antique shops into her stories (like Michiru's/Neptune's mirror, or that art deco lamp).

Either way, the whole punk rock sailor trend seems to take for granted that the message of the show was that you could be feminine/girlie and still a badass. That you didn't have to be outwardly tough to be strong. So I find it really weird.

I blame this thread for the horrible dream I had last night.

I was running around in some terrible make-shift Sailor Moon cosplay. Satin bows, some weird white and semitransparent corset, and wrinkled to hell bow. I was wearing a white bra on the outside of that. My skirt was a tattered satin skirt. I had ripped stockings and was carrying around some gaudy bag that was supposed to go with the outfit.

I was also part of some sort of fashion show. I was late and had to hurry out there in front of a room full of people, pose, and then strut off.

also, there's a lot of things in these pictures that I'm not a fan of, but the hip rolls are basically perfect on Moon and Mars (not sure why the others don't look the same). You can see the tapering down to the V and the nice 3D curve coming off of the suit. Great angle, very deep, looks great.
