There's a skirt version coming up next week, apparently the black version will be included. The skirt is probably easier to roll up and tuck into your petticoat to shorten it, if you need to.

As for the length, I'm 163cm and it is mid knee-length on me. It is longer than my dresses from other brands.

I can actually answer this since I asked a Japanese lolita about it. Meta is a "hade" (派手) brand, meaning bright and flashy. The people who like Meta are usually unique stylish dressers OR people with bad taste. You really have to be skilled at what you do to pull off some of the weirder stuff. Kanto lolitas are less into Meta than Kansai girls because Kansai lolitas take more fashion risks.

Are there any good places online for cheap blouses that actually look lolita-y and not just "if you coordinate this just so it won't look out of place"?
I've bought a couple shirts off eBay but they were either terrible quality or didn't go with lolita as well as I'd thought.
I was thinking of buying one from DreamV but I need L/LL (large bust) and most of their blouses are sold out of L/LL in black or white (also they're obsessed with navy as opposed to black, ugh).

And by cheap I mean like $30 or less.

I lent a coat to a friend a while back and didn't think to look it over when she gave it back to me. Today I went to take photos of it so I could sell it as part of my closet cleaning and noticed that there was some slight staining/odor on the satin lining around the armpits.
How can I get rid of this? The coat is furry, so the tag says no water, but other than that it just says "cleaner's advice recommended."

It's... relatively easy. Most lolitas are accepting of brolitas as long as you don't creep on the girls or wear it as a fetish publicly (look up Lolita Hope and do the opposite).
There are a lot of good brolitas and traps who post tutorials as well.
I'd say gothic is easier to pull off than sweet for guys, though.
It also depends on your body type, height, face etc.

The only complaints I know of on the egl comm sales are that they reject some posts for one rule but then accept another though it might go against that same rule and some drama with mods.
People are complaining about bugs on LM which is understandable, but instead of throwing a fit, you can actually do something about it and message LM's mods because they're working on it.

I own Whipped Showcase in white (pic related) and I want to buy a pink blouse that'll match. There's a bunch of pink ones on closetchild but they all look a bit warmer. So lolitas of /cgl, what are your thoughts on washing JSKs?

I mean, technically they should never be touching any part of your body (blouse and petticoat are in-between) so they can only really get dirty externally. If you never go anywhere dirty, how often do you realistically need to wash a JSK?

Since every time you wash a dress it fades/ruins it a bit, I'm curious if washing JSKs seldom if at all is common, assuming a blouse and petti are worn of course.

I live in a cool climate where it is usually 60-70 in summer. I never wear lolita when it is over 70. Also I don't sweat much if at all and while I wash my blouses, my dresses never seem dirty or have an odor. Is it even necessary past spot cleaning once in a blue moon as >>7603004 suggested?

I can understand needing to wash OPs all the time since they hug under the armpit (one reason I never buy OPs) but with JSKs it almost seems silly, especially since yes, all clothing fades or becomes a bit more worn after washing.

I only wash (or dryclean) JSK's if they're being sold or if there's some kind of grungeyness to a light color, was worn on a hot sweaty day and it got stank, etc. For most, that's wearing them maybe 2, 3 times a year anyway and it's not needed. I have easier to care for dresses that I wear more often/casually that I do wash more regularly but they're just solid plain cotton pieces, oldschool Baby, Bodyline etc. I don't wear dresses regularly as often as skirts anyway (for that reason, among others) so I usually just delicates/handwash my blouses with wear and that's it.

I wash JSKs maybe every 4 wears or so. After I while I find they they just start to look a little grungy and less bright if I don't wash them. Of course, these are for sweet prints - for darker dresses it doesn't have to be as often.

for OPs it depends because the armpit can get stinky. Sometimes I just let it hang in the air for a few days and it doesn't smell anymore. Other times I have to wash it.

Too poofy tends to be a type issue. Like if you try to put a bell shaped petti under an A line, it can look 'too' poofy as it is trying to acheive a shape that the skirt wasnt meant for. It will look strained near the top of the skirt where it is trying to make a bell where it cant. For skirts that are meant for bell shaped pettis, I dont really see a too poof thing since it can accomdate a lot, and you wont have that issue with one cp petti regardless. Peolpe do wear multiple for a lot of poof and it isnt too much in picture.

Since you are not used to it, you probably will find that the poof it gives is a lot when it isnt, and you will think it is more than how it will show up in pictures.

I think you're overthinking it. I have a friend that is worried about meeting our new comm, and she's stressing just like you are over the smallest of things. Your hair is perfectly fine, but just make sure you style it nicely, and don't overdo the hair pieces. Or go with a hat. That always works nicely with shorter hair.

I feel that if you are super worried that they think bad of you at the meet, just ask the super pretty girls for some coord concrit with a little addition of "I just don't feel like I wore this to the best of my ability," or something, and I'm sure they will think highly of you just for that.

I love horn/anler hairclips and would totally work in regular animal ears if I could find good quality ones that genuinely weren't weebshit.
