I don't remember bodyline having two styles of loafers to choose from in their cosplay section. I've heard people saying the $27 ones are cheap, stiff, and uncomfortable. These are $40. They've got a little bit of a heel, which is cute. Anyone get a pair? How do they compare?

It's actually the left one, i realized after i posted it that i worded it strangely, sorry. I feel the same about the bodice, i don't think it will look very good on me personally as i have very minimal waist definition. I wanted to see if anyone else thought it looked a bit weird so i might go with the other one. The only thing i was iffy about on the right JSK is the choice of lace, but i don't think it looks too bad on the plain black and white versions?

I've seen many reviews for both. Tbh the dress on the left never looks good on any one. It's not really shaped like a human figure, too tube like. It's hard to tell from pictures, but right has absolutely disgusting craft store lace all over the damn thing. Such a shame because both of these are such basic mistakes that make an otherwise cute dress ugly.

I bought that dress. It has quite the strong shine to it, but can look good if worn in a really classy, toned down way. It looks more like a 50s dress than a lolita dress worn without hte bolero, it's pretty boring. Bodyline's measurements are a bit off and it runs a bit big.

They're not the same. I had the ones with the bows and the ones with the roses. The rose ones have a higher heel and are overall uncomfortable, no squeaking but the roses fall off almost instantly. also the weird velcro belts will snap off if you do them too tight by accident. Another thing is that even though both pairs are similar, the ankle of the rose pair is really really stiff and will hurt if it cracks/folds the wrong way. Overall I think the bow ones are more comfortable and I definitely regret buying the rose ones to replace my old bow pair.

With the fixed $10 Air shipping price it does. When you have to pay $10 for air shipping, but can pay in yen, EMS usually (for me) works out to be "free" or a small difference over the price you would pay in USD with free or fixed rate shipping.

For example, I bought a single blouse recently and had it shipped using EMS. The price in USD on the site is $53, the price in yen works out to be $40. Paying in yen and with EMS shipping, the total worked out to be about $2 more than paying in USD and my items arrived in less than a week.

If Yan continues free shipping but gets rid of yen pricing, I would still be paying a similar price, but my blouse would not arrive for a month or more.

Not sure what you mean by best...I have a couple of Bodyline maid outfits and they are all made of this polyester blend. no wrinkles but not as nice as cotton. Make sure that you get something that fits you since I doubt most of the items have shirring and the material has no stretch. Also they are generally very short so get a petti and/or underskirt.

In general they look nice though. I don't understand how they can charge up to 70 for some sets though

Pick up the colors and themes of the dress, being brown, red some white and the theme is strawberries.
Red shoes would be cute with it.

I got some from Anna House, they were prettty okay. I've never had a Bodyline blouse, so I can't give you any advice on them.
If you browse Taobao, try Pumpkin Cat, White Moon, Magic Tea Party or Chess Story.
And don't forget to make your Bodyline order in Yen. With this kind of dress I think flat shoes would look cute, that's just me though.

Check out Miss Point, they have some cute dresses now, Pumpkin Cat, Infanta, Chess Story - these stores aren't that more expensive than BL but have better quality...
