For those unaware already, ILD is coming up really soon (June 7th, to be precise).

>What's your comm doing that day?
>Flying solo?
>Celebrating in spirit?
>What are you wearing (or would be wearing)?
(I suppose you could direct it to the coord help thread unless the image limit is breached)

I personally haven't decided what to wear yet and my meet up is mostly outdoors, but I don't think I'll be able to go all out because it would be hot out. My friends and I are going out for lunch and then check out a neighborhood antique sale.

a meet with 75 lolitas. the theme is carnival masquerade
>Celebrating in spirit?
done that every year but not this year!

i still need to come up with a mask or some prop

Dang. I haven't been to a mega meet in a long time. I don't know if you live near one, but my local Earthbound store sells carnival masks. I think a Jester's cane would go well with a gothic lolita outfit.

I'm an immense lolita lurker, technically into the fashion for around ten years but only wear it very occasionally, coupled with a lot of being too neurotic to wear it out and about anyway.

I'm basically a worthless neet (by the Japanese definition) that doesn't feel I deserve to wear lolita with the current state of my life and mindset. A part of me though kinda wants to get some lolita life into my bones and just wear casual lolita locally and on my lonesome for Intl Lolita Day, as a little treat to myself for actually making it outside in the first place.

Perhaps I should play up my poor mental state and just cackle and mumble something about 'must be getting home to my cats' if anyone makes obnoxious comments.

tl;dr version - I'm a sad, unstable, 4chan archetype loser that probably has no place dressing in lolita despite loving it.

Gather some Toronto-area lolitas and go to an art gallery or museum, then a nice cafe. Since the meetup is a bit far, I've decided to just trek around Toronto by my lonesome. I'll probably hit up the ROM.

My comm is having a picnic. I'm looking forward to it, even though I find it difficult to fit in with them (I'm a bit older and my style is quite different from everyone else). I'll probably just wear something causal because of the heat!

I just found out from one of my mods that I cannot attend our ILD meetup at my comm. A baby lolita who just joined our comm needed some advice. I gave her advice on coordinating better. She turned around and baww'd at a mod saying that an elitist brandwhore didn't like my coords and suggested to lose weight and buy better, but can't afford brand.

This is the same baby lolita that harassed my friend to donate her DDC to her for zero compensation. Also note the baby lolita is the first African American in our comm and that the mod said we needed more diversity.

wtf? if you have screencaps, take them and send them to the mod proving you didn't say those things. we've had girls who had beefs before in our comm, and i've always told them to just not talk to each other. that's shitty that your mod is telling you to sit it out.

>What's your comm doing that day?
dunno, some are going shopping or something like that.
My friends (the ones I'd be celebrating it with) are going abroad to an international meet but I couldn't join because of work and lack of money. I hope they have a great time, I'm sure they will, but I can't help but feel a tiny bit lonely.
>Flying solo?
yeah, not even going to wear lolita that day.
>Celebrating in spirit?
Yep
>What are you wearing (or would be wearing)?
Probably something flowery.

Noooo idea. I'm just wondering if they had any event planning experience at all? No deposits were being taken, not actual event was planned with Disney coordinators and having people from out of state make their own reservations. I hope they are aware that this does NOT guarantee that all those parties will be seated anywhere near each other - as far as Disney knows, they are separate guests. No idea what they were thinking.

My friend's organising a meet, but most of the girls attending are the ones in our clique. I have a sneaking feeling that the rest of the more 'famous' girls are having their own meet and not inviting us, but I could just be a paranoid bitch about this.

Lone lolita here - today I decided I could spare some time from finals preparation and I went to a high-end shopping center near my uni to window shop for a while. I got a couple questions/compliments from salespeople and shoppers, one 'ahahaha ewwww', one woman who couldn't understand it wasn't a costume, and then somehow I started an argument between two old ladies about online shopping.

It's amazing how wearing lolita gave me the confidence to walk into expensive stores and browse like I belonged there. Normally I'd avoid those places out of shame over money and how I normally dress, but damn it, I look rich today so rich I'll pretend I am.

I know how you feel about those high class stores, once I got questions by one of the ladies about where I got my cute dress from. It seems normal(nonanimu/comic/nerds) people can have a better absorption of what lolita is compared to nerds who seem to insist what I'm wearing is cosplay.

Same. You don't go to these things for the walk part, it's just an excuse to socialize.
That said, trying to get a group of 60+ people across a street is a disaster waiting to happen.
I'm glad it wasn't 100 degrees outside in any case.

>I hate to always wear the same dresses to meets, I sold a bunch of ones so now I basically rinse and repeat my coordinates and it makes me feel kind of... cheap? I know it probably doesn't matter but it's making me not want to go to meetups as much.
If it makes you feel any better, Rinrin used to wear the same two outfits over and over and now she's a model for AP. Pic related, I saw her in this coordinate at least 4 times at different events but she looked so good in it nobody cared.

I went and saw Belle today. I was a good film and there are some scene that will make you cry in frustration and joy.

I wore my Ball at Versailles JSK from IW in honor Belle being shown. Several ladies liked the print and thought that I dressed up to see Belle.

Besides going to see Belle, I went to a pastry shop for brunch and macarons, a book store, and then an antique store. Following Belle, I got some ice cream.

Pic related, muh macarons.
