The chains, horns, and boots contrast severely with the ruffly, poofy shorts, making it look like two different outfits, and the grey and white bits draw the eyes away from the strongest part of the outfit while making your legs stumpy. Other than that, the whole demon theme suits you pretty well. Just a couple adjustments, and you'd look pretty much perfect.

The chains and the demon theme go together well: the ruffles are a bit jarring, but not horrible.
Keep it simple with the socks; the way it is, you're introducing a conflicting color and pattern to the outfit for no reason. If worse comes to worse, just wear solid black. You want to keep the eye up, with how you've paced the outfit.

I'm interested in kodona, but I have really wide hips. My measurements are 88-72-101 (I'm 5'6 for reference). I hate how I look in most pants because of the t-rex thing I have going on.
Would I look even worse in the style of pants most kodonas wear (the only name for them I can think of is "pumpkin pants," which I'm not sure if anyone actually uses)? If so, is there any way I can counteract this issue?

I love pumpkin shorts, but I recommend looking up the Akira epsiode of kawaii international. While she isnt that hippy she goes now to hide your curves like around the hips with long shirts and how to pose guyish, that will probably help. You dont need to wear the poofy shorts, there are other styles but you will have to do some trial and error for your body.
