I guess if you wear just a random cute outfit with cat ears, none of that weeby Hot Topic shit (arm warmers, leg warmers, satin corset, ribbons, rips, too much black, etc.) it can be okay.
I know F21 has started selling some, but it's just a wire frame with rhinestones. It looks weird to me.

This. I have a pair from Forever 21 I wear with normal girly clothing and people don't think it's too strange and I get lots of compliments. It's just a dressed-up headband. But if you're okay with some people seeing you as a weeb go for it. Just act normal.

Just wear what makes you happy and don't give a fuck. I have been wearing kitty ears in and out of the bedroom since middle school before it was the weeb alert #1. My favorite is to wear them with a naruto headband and a pretty loli co-ord then wait for the seagulls frills to be ruffled.
I also think the thin metal ones are stupid unless you already have a head full of stuff.

Seriously, this. Who the fuck cares what other people think? I wear them all the time. If you're on /cgl/, chances are you either cosplay or wear lolita, which is already sort of "abnormal" or "weeby" in some people's eyes, fuck, there are a good amount of fullblown weebs here, and I'm well aware that I could be considered one too. I get many a compliments from normal fag for my kitty gear when I am just being lazy/casual and even more compliments from like minded people in full co-ords. People who thinks kitty ears are weebs are just butthurt they can't pull it off because *gasp* they are weebs and can't accept it.
