I'm going to an anime convention with my girlfriend in a couple of weeks. We both love anime and we both want to try cosplay. But we have no experience at all. What do you guys suggest we cosplay as?

As I said, we have no experiencce making suits, and we don't have that much money to buy new ones. We would like to dress as characters from the same anime.Can you guy help?

Forgot about this. Not everyone at anime-cons go as anime characters. A large portion go as video game or comic book characters. It's about 60/40.
