Kind of off topic but the reason I really respect Reika for some of her stuff. Pretty sure her snk cosplay was the first one on the internet so anything she did was by herself, no references. Also, none of that 500$ worth of worbla shit going on. Foam board and dollar store bits and her stuff looks just fine.
What most people take 2 weeks to make, she does in 2 hours and it looks just as good if not better. That's just my two cents.

Now, let the hate begin. If it makes you butthurt anons feel better I will say she needs to stop with the nose contouring.

I follow her page on fb and she seems to be able to whip out cosplays fairly quickly, and the progresses she posts are very clean and detailed. I personally love her stuff.

Uhm, she's not well known in the same way western cosplayers are 'well known'. Its a different mindset, they dont put people like yaya and jnig on a pedestal just because they have titties.

Reika is average but still good looking, with a somewhat androgynous body type. The difference is she has a shitload of quality costumes, and crossplays well and can do makeup, and doesnt rely on fake boobies for attention.

One of her Gintama costume took her 4-5 hours if I remember it correctly, but it shouldn't take other people more than a week for the same costume, honestly.

It depends on how much free time you got in order to devote yourself to costume making.

I heard Reika's working for fashion magazine and take her time off for attending cosplay events? Her company's really generous, if that is true since she's probably out of the country at least 1 weekend every month.

The shinsengumi uniform? 4-5 hours sounds about right if you have a pattern that you know fits you and you know what you're doing. Most costumes are slower than that because you have to tweak patterns for weird designs or the person making it doesn't quite know how to put it together.
