You don't need either of these to drop a few grand in a couple months, just sayin.
All you need is a really itchy credit card and the security to know that you'll still have something to live in and food to eat once the money is spent.

What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I’ve been involved in numerous secret raids on Al-Quaeda, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I’m the top sniper in the entire US armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You’re fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the United States Marine Corps and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You’re fucking dead, kiddo.

They're only doing it because you have this mentality. They are clearly posting them because it pisses you off. If you would ignore it they would go away because your indifference would defeat their point.

But no, I'm sure if you continue to respond and act hostile......they'll go away :^)

The English language is perfectly capable of expressing many emotions, and this board is an imageboard anyways, so if your range of language is so limited you simply cannot express simple emotions you can also upload a file. But I assume you can't, since you neither understand board culture nor that the English language is equipped to communicate intonation. How the fuck do you think literature works?

>>7498520

Sorry, I meant the implication you cannot convey intonation without emoticons. You perfectly can. There are billions of classes, books, and theories devoted to conveying the right intonation for a variety of situations.

Anyways, I'm an aspie too. I'll stop posting since it's late. I'd blame my shitty day but that's cheap and I'll acknowledge I shat up this thread with the intention of trying to shit on anon. I apologise for that.

Honestly I don't like to think about it.

Total, since my ita days in 2009, at least 5 grand. I've been working on my wardrobe on and off since then but really got into last spring.

I do try to keep the money I've spent on Lolita, in Lolita, as in I try to sell what I don't wear to fund new purchases. But I still through every extra penny into my wardrobe. I think I haven't not had something on its way in the mail since before last May. And I just put in another $700 order.

>> No.7498627

Is lolita fashion just a contest on who can spend more on their useless dresses?

I think I finally get it. It's like cars for men.

>> No.7498632

>>7498291
my closet is worth 1k (in main pieces). Im a poorfag. college student here.

I keep waiting for items I want instead of actually building my wardrobe. so I go months and months without buying a dress because what I want doesn't pop up. And when it does, I'm obsessed with watching the auction instead of bidding.

>> No.7498633

>>7498291
I'm going to assume you mean on one outfit because for anyone who has been wearing it for more than a year that could be really hard to remember.

For one outfit I've spent a total of $450 plus shipping from Russia.

>> No.7498639

>>7498632

I find that instead of buying items I want, I bid on cheap burando without any idea of where, how, or when I'm going to even wear it. This is how I managed to get a tea length velvet dress. Very beautiful, but damn, I'm a 160cm girl. Although sure enough, I'm going to find a place and time. I end up falling in love with all the pieces I buy so far, even if I'm not enamored of it in the first place, so in the end, I never want to sell stuff anymore. It's pretty bad habits.

>> No.7498646

The most expensive lolita outfit I've ever worn cost me about $1500, but I could probably sell the components for double. Accessories add up...

>> No.7498653

Definitely $20,000 or more since 2005.

>> No.7498666

About a thousand, give or take. I only started wardrobe-building seriously last year and I've only bought one article straight from brand (God bless Closet Child and that one Japanese vintage store near where I love). I'd honestly probably buy more if it weren't for the fact that I'm 5'10 and finding things that fit is a bit difficult.

>> No.7498690

Not as much as other people who have been into the fashion as long as me (8 years) as I'm a poor student, but at least 20 K. I used to buy and sell a lot though and I've sold a lot of my more expensive dresses. I probably own only about 6 K in brand now (not including off brand stuff).

>> No.7503378

I'm just gonna hazard a guess, but I started about 4 years ago, and have probably spent upwards of $10K, but a lot of things I have I found at a good price and/or can be sold easily for double/triple/quadruple in the right markets (i.e. some more valuable in the west, some more valuable in Japan).

>> No.7503382

I find that one of the best ways to budget for something like lolita (Despite my personal inability to justify paying more than ~$150 for one dress) is to put away a set amount of money each week or month, and keep building up that loli fund, but ONLY buy things that you actually want.

So many girls seem to buy things just because they have the money, and either don't wear it or sell it again later. Such a waste.

>> No.7503419

I've never stopped to actually calculate but:

Consignment:
Tokyo Alice: 80,500 yen
Closet Child: 66,679
Alice+ Fururun: 24,560
Maidenclothing: 10,860
Fairy Angel: 16,860
Usagiyouhinten: 25,480
Total: 224,939

FromJapan SS: 368, 201 yen

EGL Sales, LM, direct from brand: ~$1155

Which comes out to ~$7000 in almost two years.

>> No.7503423

Dresses in closet amount to $7000 that I've paid, not including dresses I have already sold on, or the profit I could make selling rare dresses now.

Also not including shoes, blouses, socks, jewelry and accessories, but I would estimate over $10,000 easily in my lolita lifetime (6 years).

>> No.7503434

I pride myself in cosplay for making most costumes under £40. I'm vaguely aware that they could look better if I put more money in to them, but then I just can't bring myself to spend big money on dressing up. I love this hobby, but I'd rather have money for other things.

>> No.7503820

>>7503382
I have a dream dress fund. It's up to $1200 now. I don't touch it for other loli things, it's if and when I find the dream dress.

>> No.7504001

I've not actually calculated, but I'd say I'm probably around the 7-8k mark in the two years I've been wearing the fashion. Main pieces are around 5k give or take.

Those feels where I could sell off most of my wardrobe, pay off the remainder of my college loan and my credit card bill and just rebuild. But I don't really want to do that. Priorities, man. I have them.

>> No.7504131

I've been cosplaying for about a year and a half now, and I'd say I've spent... $1000 - $2000 in total for it all, and that's including the next cosplay I'm doing which is looking to be about $500 or so.
