Searching for the progress thread and I saw this. Filia wig pictured is mine.

I made a pattern for Samsons mouth out of paper and then cut pieces out of the thickest interfacing you can buy at Joanns and sewed it together and then spray painted it black

I ripped out a big chunk of wefts from the back of the wig where I would be placing out the mouth and hot glued the interfacing to the wig elastic and at netting points where it didn't stretch.

I started covering the top of Samson’s mouth with hair that was still attached to the crown of the wig. I would start by putting a light layer of tacky glue where it would lay the hair down and attack it with a blow dryer. After that I went ahead and sprayed it down with got2be freeze spray and blow dryed the heck out of it again. When I hit the seam of the most inside of the mouth I would cut off the extra hair.

For the bottom part of the face I went and bought the longest pack of wefts you can get from Arda and hot glued multiple lines of wefts to the inside of line. In between each one I followed the same steps of tack glue>Hair dryer>Hairspray>Hair dryer with small locks of hair so it would follow the shape on the interfacing. I made eyebrows Samson using the same method as well with separate pieces of interfacing to make him look angry.
Teeth and eyes were made from sculpey and spray painted.

Tentacles were the hardest part for me. I made a base out of high gauge steel wire and then I patterned out the shape I wanted with poster board and glued them. I covered them in expanding foam and carved the shape I needed out, sanding and refilling holes as I went. Sprayed them when I was done.

I made the spikes for it the same way I made the face and eyebrows, interfacing, spray painting it, and then slowly gluing the hair on. When I had what I wanted I went and cut slots into the foam and hot glued them in. Then the painful task of covering the tentacles with hair using the same methods as before.
I highly suggest making a harness that you just wear on your back the long hair covers that slips under your blouse. I made mine out of a camping mat I cut into a weird triangle like shape with little slots I slipped straps through that went under my shirt. The camping mat I covered in cardboard and poster board to make it more stiff. On the very top of it I made little holes that the wire hooks just kind of slid into and then had someone tie them down with leather cording.

There's hardly any skinny women in Skullgirls. I really enjoy the artstyle for that reason alone, all of the women look like competent fighters or at least like they could hold their own. Games like Street Fighter (excluding R Mika and Chun Li) and Tekken both feature scrawny women who look like a stiff breeze would take them down.

I want to cosplay Squigly, but I want to be as accurate as possible with Leviathan (he comes out of the top of her head and her right ear) I have an idea for the head part, but what about the ear? I also want him to be stiff instead of limp, but moveable. Should I use that hollow tubing stuff with the ribs that you can move? I forget what its called but its like a giant straw.

yeah it kinda was. the sax ended up being really heavy due to last minute stuff so i had to be careful. i had decent leg room and i could unzip the front panel. but i needed a handler. thankfully my friend followed me the entire time i was in him and helped me with food and taking stuff off.

the sax is held up with like a backpack handle and the pipes. i wanna revisit stuff and make them cleaner and able to walk around without a handler. sadly that wont be anytime soon haha
