This really sucks. I finally feel good about my appearance for once in my life, but at the same time I now feel like a complete failure and a moron. Every time I try to crack down and study like I normally would, I get sidetracked and want to online shop. I've been late and pretty negligent on a few occasions solely because I refuse to leave my place to go anywhere at all without at least a bit of makeup.
I know there's some sort of balance that will work, but right now I'm really stressing about my grades and just want to stop all of this and go back to being a good student. But I'm so happy with my appearance, going back to how I used to be, even just a little, I know will take a toll on me.

I've been trying to lose weight since last summer and so far I've only lost about 15 or 20 pounds ;_;
I'm 5'0 and my weight fluctuates between 136 and 140. I used to be 155...

My main problem is the weight distribution.
I was never confident enough to wear dresses or skirts, but this year I thought I would buy a few because I lost some weight. However, I have huge hips/thighs/butt that ruin any cute skirt/dress that lands above the knee.

I feel like shit because I'll never be thin enough to be kawaii and wear kawaii clothes.

I gained so much fucking weight this year while being a depressed piece of shitafter some stuff that happened. Literally just...30lbs of pure flab. I can wear barely any of my nice clothes any more (none of my old cosplays fit lol) and am wallowing in old t-shirts and fat jeans from high school. I came to college 3yrs ago and got much healthier and prettier because it was such a nice environment that I began to actually enjoy life, cut my body fat percentage in half, and then some shit happened last year and i stopped taking care of myself, and I'm bummed because usually when you hear the inspiring transformation story there's not a shitty ending tacked on where the girl becomes a fat loser again a couple years later because all her friends turned out to be assholes.

Just started working out again a couple days ago because I feel ok and actually care about my body/want to treat it well right now no clue if that'll last.

Anon, just keep working at it. So far your weight loss hasn't been like, maximized for what's normally healthy, so you have a lot of wiggle room for how much weight you can lose. Generally all I've read is 1-2 lbs max a week is healthy and at your weight that's probably okay (rather than more for people who are really fucking obese).
There are a lot of things you can do and I don't know what you do already obviously, but do stuff like, don't drink soda, or eat junk food, if you feel the need to do either, quit one entirely at first. I still eat sweets once in a while, but, I never ever ever drink soda. Eating off of smaller plates and bowls helps a lot too. Then, just any amount of regular exercise help. A lot of people probably want to go all /fit/ on this but, honestly even if you're working slowly, you're still working. Don't just hop on any fad diet, actually make lifestyle dietary changes for good. That's about all the advice I can give before I get into territory where I don't know what I'm talking about.

My eating disorder is back but I haven't been able to restrict at all. It's free, it's simple (depending on the language, go with python or ruby) and you can make neat stuff with it.

Other than that, I'm an /out/ gal myself and I'd recommend mountaneering or hiking for relaxation. Photography maybe, but /p/ is a bunch of insecure hipster fagets so don't go there.

I wouldn't murder you for that. It's a good suggestion even though I won't take it. The reason I wont is because I'm too stupid for it. I had to do basic coding in flash and other programs for class and I would get frustrated because I would always mess up everything. Also my ex (the main reason why I'm an emotional wreck) was an amateur programmer and I'd rather not be reminded of him.

I live in the city and don't drive so no way to get to a mountain. I walk around here though to try to get out of my own head. I hate this place.

I think regular German sounds harsh, no surprise but Swiss German sounds kind of cute. I don't have illusions about proper pronunciation other than trying to just be understood. If someone knows what I'm saying, it can't be so terribly awful and if they don't want to hold a convo with me mangling their language, they can speak mine. Mexicans are perfectly happy to go to great lengths to understand your poor Spanish...so they don't have to be embarrassed over their poor English. I like that just fine so it made me less self conscious to just try to say what I can in foreign phrases and to learn some basics.
If you are an English-only speaker, much of the rest of the world thinks you are pretty ignorant anyway, haha!

I'm currently working on an H.E.V. mark 5 suit (Half life 2) and on a few Clicker masks for some friends and myself. Even though most of the time I generally don't care what people think of me, when it comes to the Freeman cosplay in particular, I sorta do. Even more since i'd be doing a fem version using the same suit but no alterations.
