Trying to make a Monet cosplay for my fiance, mostly needing advice or help with the wings and feet.
Also need help with a few others but this takes main priority.

Haven't used this wing tutorial myself yet, but I've seen it used with beautiful results:

help thread!

I was actually wondering what kind of fabric would be best for Akatsuki's top? I've been looking at stretch fabric, am I in the ballpark for what would be best? Should I be looking at jersey stretch or what?

Also what color? hers looks to be a blue/grey but all im finding is either sky blue or grey so I'm leaning towards grey.

Definitely go for the grey if those are your two options, her top does look like a lighter grey to me.

alright, after looking at my pattern (which I should have done in the first place...) I started looking for Nylon Lycras and found these:

one has more of a purple tint than the other, but I feel both are close to the color I need. What are your thoughts?

Different anon but I think Slate blue matches better

Best of luck to you OP, I would love so much to see a good Monet cosplay.

My general rule of thumb is the more vibrant/colorful option when torn between two colors is best.

I know I'm not supposed to judge because everyone is a special snowflake and all, but being an engineer, every part of me screams when I see this wing tutorial. There's a great thinking behind it and she's on the right track, but holy shit is it still garbage on toast.

Shit man, I have no doubt it COULD produce good results when done right, but it needs so much drastic tweaking, it hurts me.
