Have any Londonfags come across this guy? Does anyone know the story behind him/why he appears in photos of so many events at MCM and beyond? Does he organise meets or something? I've mostly seen him dressed as a Pokemon trainer or Shadow the Hedgehog.

Hey, I play MTG, and when I would go down and play in a typical games shop he would often be there. People would call him 'Weeboo' endearingly. He's autistic and is obsessed with Japanese culture. Often when there was a group of people in a MTG multiplayer he would just sit next to everyone and continue talking about anime or popular Japanese personalities even though no one knew what he was talking about and had no interest. I made the mistake of going down to play in lolita and he wouldn't leave me alone and just kept going on about Venus Angelic and how much he loved her.

I had an encounter with him at Hyper Japan a year or two ago, without knowing who he was beforehand, after he complimented mine and my friends' costumes.

I figure he might be autistic and tried to chat, but my friends were pretty dismissive of him since he was pretty creepy and that disturbing type of clingy (overly close and enthusiastic, doesn't understand cues that he's not wanted... Is that to do with the autism?) None of it struck me as being deliberate or ill intentioned though so I just humoured him for a while before needing to leave.

Saw him at LAGC, he was doing his own thing, and eyeing up sonic merch, he didn't bother anyone while I was near him. Pretty normal just browsing wears. He was wearing his sonic headpiece, it could use a lot of work.

I've seen some threads of harsh trolling against him. As far from what I've seen of him he seems to be a normal person with a particular interest in Sonic The Hedgehog.

People have it in their mind that he is creepy/weirdo as fuck, but so are most of the people who go these expo including the so called "cool" people who thing they are the most "important" ones and thing they can cast their "will" on others.

As for me I wouldn't mind chatting with him, but I'm from here so the chat probably won't work out well.
