i kinda wanted to, but i wouldn't want to cosplay this when i haven't even cosplayed regular celes, which probably wont ever happen, because those fucking drills.

it's because when the original photoshoot was supposed to happen, literally 5 other fandom crowds came in and took over the fountain and had their own photoshoot or arranged one. we dont knwo why but we decided to just do it outside. i kinda wanted to turn because pictures against a sunset = shit

it sure looks like it. costumes that are bought online for him are often made with really thin white fabric, for whatever reason. I don't know why you wouldn't either use different pants or wear leggings or something under them. underwear outlines are just... so bad. i saw a few ishimarus like this at katsu but i think theyre the hinata with shitty contouring makeup. they did the same shit for ishimaru

the sakura on the right is really really good though. i saw her walking around with an asahina and they were pretty close to perfect. she even had a superlight fake barbell she carried around, 9/10 because she and asahina were the same height but thats not really something they can fix without platforms/heels and sakura in heels is so far from practical it's not even funny.

You have a serious point, and their costume is commendable in that regard. I didn't mean to imply the other was better, because I agree with you in that way.
It's just that I can't stand when people have their asymmetrical designs on the incorrect sides. I'm not claiming that this person made or purchased their costume, but the least a cosplayer could do is make sure they have their accessories on the correct sides. Especially since a major part of the DR fandom seems to purchase their costumes - so if you can't/don't want to make your costume, at least take the care to wear it correctly. Unfortunately for Monobear, the costume can't as easily be swapped around. I apologize for my rant, it just happens so much, and it doesn't seem to bother anyone else even though there is so much other nitpicking going on in these threads.

Looking at this again I think my issue is that styling it like this makes it look very thin. Tsumikis hair has lots of pieces that look like this, but there's a ton of them, and here it looks like it's thinned the wig out a lot

The ruffles on the shoulders being too big and too full, all of the tiers of fabric on the skirt were very sloppily hemmed and draped very messily, same goes for the little gathered bits of sheer material (which looks like tulle? another choice I'm not too terribly fond of).
I'm not saying it looks terrible, but a couple of little mistakes like that make it look really sloppy to me, especially since the rest looks pretty good.

I with people wouldn't try so hard with Celes' hair and make those horrible crispy drills. They will never look good. I think curled pigtails like this (stole pic from another thread) would be much nicer, you can buy them as separates for wigs.

I actually completely agree on this one, even though I'm normally all for perfect accuracy. It still looks like her, and it looks a lot more natural and flattering in general. Celes is supposed to look refined and elegant, and those over the top drills do not look refined or elegant in real life at all.
