There are plenty of possibilities here.
Anon could have accidentally ordered the wrong colour when they contacted their SS. The SS could have simply ordered the wrong colour. The colour could have been different than what anon was expecting, etc.

sometimes I hate when I find one thing on a Japanese auction site I really want. I buy the one thing and think how I have to make shipping worth it and do a huge buying spree. i was an event model once, for JetJ.

-Its really fucking tiring
-like, extremely. i was out there at 8 am and it was non stop until 3pm.
-Its really nice getting your hair and makeup done for you, though
-if you get a professional make up artist, prepare to not be able to recognize yourself and maybe to be a little self concious of your appearance because of that
-imo, its not really worth it unless you are getting paid, receiving a free gift, or are meeting the designer.

In my case, I got to meet Nakamura-san, who gave us free JetJ leggings. Honestly I felt bad for the btssb models who worked their asses off too and didn't get anything in the end. All that work to wear a dress and model it for a bit.. eh.

Hi CGL
I just got a bonus at work and I wanted to use it to spend on my first brand. I heard closet child was a good place to get a cheap first dress or outfit so I put together this one.
Could I please have some input? I'm not sure about the headband thing. Should I get a head bow instead?
Also what kind of shoes should I get. I was just going to buy some from Bodyline but I heard that bodyline is ita so maybe I will keep looking on closet child for some pink shoes.
I really want to be head to toe in AP though since it is my dream for the past few months.
Any suggestions are very welcome!

This isn't going to look good, there's too much going on in the way of frills, there's not much cohesion and the cut of the blouse would look bad with the skirt. What are your favourite colours? I'll try to put together a better outfit for you on a budget. Also, what's your budget like?

>> No.7362583

>>7362559
The blouse and skirt are fine but your accessories look like a random clusterfuck. Since the blouse and skirt are so OTT you pretty much have to match everything to them and it's probably easiest to stick to a two-colour scheme for a first outfit. The headdress, clearly, does NOT match and would be a weird block of white in your outfit even with the polkadots in the socks. The socks actually could work with the outfit, but I'd be looking for pink and black hair accessories and some different jewellery.

She also personally bitched out my friend for even mentioning it a few days ago.

I have a question about shipping prices/lacemarket. I recently sold an item, and I had stated everywhere that international shipping was very expensive and the buyer should comment for an estimate before bidding.
However, the person who won the auction never did so and is now kind of hassling me about the shipping charges (~$40 for a dress). I told her that I will look into cheaper options, but the only one I am certain of (the Flat Rate Padded Envelope) is not available at my post office.
The girl is basically trying to convince me to order the envelopes and just wait, but I don't like waiting that long for both payment and shipment. What do I do?
This is why I hate shipping internationally.

I want to bid on on an item on Mbok, but not sure who I should go with. I've used Chibitenshi for AP releases before and she is lovely, it's just that she charges everything in USD so converting things from Yen to USD then to AUD costs me a lot more than if it was a direct conversion on Yen to AUD.

>> No.7371815

>>7371771
Seconded, contact a mod. If you clearly listed that it didn't include shipping and she's making unfair and unsafe demands in regards to that you don't want to trade with her. It's likely there'll be other problems down the line with that attitude. I put an estimate down of approx how much and clearly stated I would not ship without tracking and insurance.

Another thing about LM since this is the general. I had a buy contact me on fb about it but I told her specifically I would go by the LM auction. She made me an offer for included shipping that would be lower than my starting bid, and was very butthurt when someone paid the full significantly higher BIN. Even if you said it's a dream dress, you obviously don't want it bad enough to pony up for it. The second buyer was completely sweet and a dream to deal with, and I'm sure she'll take much better care of the dress. Plus a lot of buyer horror stories start with them being sketchy and or niggardly, so it's better to be more cautious and take notice of the warning signs.

Can anyone recommend me a good petticoat to wear under long IW dresses? Preferably something I can get from taobao. I know there are some long petticoats out there, but I couldn't find any review and am afraid that some are too long or have a too casual amount of poof. Any help appreciated!

Yeah, I'm probably gonna have to hold off on buying any OP's or JSK's from the series...I'm glad I bought mine when I did. I picked up those blue socks another anon posted cause I figured when else am I gonna get a similar chance. I guess the main thing I'm just looking for now is either the headbow or the drum hat. But I suppose something like that drum hat is gonna go for at least like 200 now. I suppose I'll just have to save my money and be patient.

>> No.7374196

Same problem!
I agree with the "long but too casual" poof issue but I assume because its so long you kind of don't want to take up even more space. Also I noticed the long JSK I got from IW wouldn't hold a long version of a AP or BTSSB style poof anyway (like if you pull up the skirt in a curtsy you'll notice it doesn't pull up as far as a short dress). So I guess a long IW was never made to be a bell, although it was initially my goal with buying a IW long dress to finally accommodate my height. Poo.

I know that Classical puppets and Bunny House do custom petticoats though? That's what I'm planning to do.

Could I get some help with fabric care?
There is a spot on my MM Perfume Bottle JSK that I would like to get out. Does anyone have experience washing/spot treating this garment?
I bought it a few weeks ago on the comm sales, and when quickly looking it over to leave feedback, didn't notice it. However, there's really no way that it could have happened at my house, and now that I look at the proof photo again, it's actually visible. I don't want to bother the seller as I already left feedback/said everything was fine, but I'd like to remove the spot as best as possible so that it won't affect resell value too badly.

Yeah, that chart is wrong. It says that a Euro 39 is the equivalent of an Australian size 6, when it should be an 8. I think they thought that we use the same system as the UK in which it would be a 6. Pretty sure the US one should be an 8 too and not a 7, but US sizing seems to be a lot more inconsistent than the above systems. The men's sizing here seems to be janked up also.

Question for those who have used Fromjapan many times:

I'm at the shipping point now, and it seems from their chart like the only option which provides any sort of tracking is EMS? But that can't be right, as I've gotten tracking before when shipping by Air and I think even SAL, from Japan. And I don't want to use Fedex, they hit with customs in the USA.

There's also no tool to estimate shipping on the site.

Can anyone give me an idea of which would be the cheapest option with some kind of tracking, even if it's just 'it left the country/it entered the country/it was delivered'?

>> No.7377033

>>7376983
They have a shipping fee calculator on the right side of the home page, you may have to scroll down a bit. That said, I always have them pack up my items first before I pick a shipping method (choose "unspecified" from their list). You can get tracking on SAL and air as an add-on for a few extra bucks, I think, but I almost always go EMS as it's usually not that much more and is a lot faster.

I bought mine from here. The one in the link is the same as the one I have only mine doesn't have the seams around the neck and arm holes. Hook and eye or velco are better as they allow for a wider range of fits as opposed to zippered or pull-over styles. Yes, once a listing has been bidded on in Lace Market, sellers cannot delete their listings. In circumstances where you've already sold the item, you have two things you can do:

1.) Report the listing to a LM mod, who will end the listing early for you. However, you may receive bad feedback from the high bidder, and LM really discourages overuse of this kind of behavior.

2.) You can ask the person who bought it off-site to buy it through Lace Market. She can either place a bid, or use Buy it Now. This is the preferred method of handling the situation.
