I would suggest using closetchild. I've bought tons of things for my boyfriend on there for really cheap. Just search through the gothic/punk brands and search by item(waistcoats are listed in jackets btw), there's a lot of nice stuff and I bought him a full brand coord for under $80.

what is the budget you are thinking of right now?
Also which direction are you thinking of going in? It seems generally accepted that there's a more boyish look and a slightly more mature aristocratic style, but the only difference seems to be the length of your pants.

My budget is small, too. I built up my wardrobe starting with little accessories like jewelry or socks and generally supplement it with offbrand or vintage thrift store finds rather than big brand purchases. Also check out the possibility of commissioning things like shirts from indie brands like Lady Sloth, or even making your own clothing alterations if you have a sewing machine in your home. Vests, for example, are really easy to sew.

It's because I'm short at 4 foot 10 in and since the clothes are sized for people at 5' 2" or taller they are usually off proportioned and too big unless I get them tailored. For example the Navy AATP Granny Smith Vest in this photo is like 4 sizes too big for me and you can see the height difference between me and my friend who is average height exemplified here too.

General question: in most outfits in ouji/kodona, do you think the blouses that lolitas wear are usually interchangeable with their shirts?

I think I worded that kind of poorly, but basically, do you think most lolita blouses can be used for ouji?

Some people say that only certain blouses work for kodona because others are too feminine and frilly, so I just want a general idea of what blouses are better for it than others. Obviously, square necklines would not work, but I mean lolita blouses with collars and bibs and such?

Ryutarou of Plastic Tree used the term to describe his clothing. I've never read the actual article the term was used in. Apparently, it's a term that's otherwise used to describe that awkward pubescent stage where you're no longer quite a child, but neither are you an adult. People claim that he meant it as an adjective, describing that his style was in between childish and adult, rather than as a name for the style. Lately especially, people seem really easily pissed off by the term.

So people who wear ouji have to just choose and pick from lolita and aristocrat blouses to make their coordinates. It is true high neck blouses is generally what is worn but it is not a 100% guarantee that every blouse with a high neck collar is even suited for ouji. You would also generally want to stay away from blouses with princess sleeves and puffy shoulders, open necklines, peter pan collars, bibs, and etc but I've also seen these blouse styles work with more experienced ouji coordinators. These are just general guidelines but I wouldn't recommended straying too far from what generally works to anyone that is trying to get familiar with coordinating boystyle simply because they haven't developed an eye for that precarious balance between what works and what doesn't for the ouji silhouette quite yet. It's better to invest in the tried and true pieces that work then risk spending money on things that might not just for the sake of experimenting when you still trying to build your ouji wardrobe. Once you have all your staple items you can go experiment with more unusual cuts. Unfortunately this is one of those you will know it when you see it things since for blouses there are no hard rules on specific cuts or details, it's just something you develop an eye for what works overtime.

These are just general guidelines but I wouldn't recommended straying too far from what generally works to anyone that is trying to get familiar with coordinating boystyle simply because they haven't developed an eye for that precarious balance between feminine and masculine elements in the ouji silhouette quite yet. It's better to invest in the tried and true pieces that have higher success in working in a versatile amount of coords and be boring than risk spending money on things that might work for one coord just for the sake of experimenting when you are still trying to build your ouji wardrobe. Once you have all your staple items you can go experiment with more unusual cuts. Unfortunately this is one of those you will know it when you see it things since for blouses there are no hard rules on specific cuts or details, it's just something you develop an eye for what works overtime by wearing the style often and more observation of successful ouji coordinates.
