i want to crossplay jinx from league of legends (pic related). i have no cosplay experience, but i'm willing to take my time and do it justice.

please post any prior attempts and guides (if any), as well as general tips on cosplay/crossplay, important things to keep in mind, suggestions on where to buy what and how to craft what i can't buy.

i'm european in case it makes a difference for shopping & shipping.

this is the base i'm working with. crossplay is never an ideal situation, but i think it could work if i drop 10+ pounds and apply the correct makeup and accessories.

one thing in particular i'm not sure how to handle are the cloud tattoos. can body paint be used to mimic ink?

I think you look a good size as it is but if dropping ten point is what you want to do then go for it.
Bodypaint or thinned down acrylic is fine for the tattoos, will you have a friend that can help you with it?

Sanazzaroo or Ben Nye are good body paint and a lot of people use them for cosplay tattoos. Practice using it before you do the cosplay, so you can get used to making it look how you want it to. It's VERY IMPORTANT that you seal your body paint so it doesn't rub off on other people and make you and the person you rubbed on to super upset. Ben Nye has a sealer spray, but you can also use things like babypowder then hairspray or makeup setting powder. Also, ur so qt....

NOOO DON'T USE ACRYLIC PAINT AT ALL!!! Acrylic paint is full of toxic shit that you don't want on your skin for long amounts of time. There are tons of other safer options.

Oh get over yourself, it's only for a couple of days.
Sure, daily acrylic would be a stupid thing but I end up painting most of my body with it every Halloween and I've still got baby fresh skin.
The only problem is if you put it on thick it can crack.

Just make one with jinx's references and your photo and add your progress to it as it goes.
Tattoo experimentation, wig styling and makeup stuff.
Let us know when you make it, even if there's nothing on it! I'm emotionally invested in helping crossplayers.


Also, tattoo paper anon was right, that's your cleanest option.

It depends how much you want to put in to it.

If you want to be a good cosplay, put as much is needed in to just managing the outfit and wig and not skimping on it.
If you can still afford more after that, work on the guns.

What about the cosplay is your personal goal? The guns or looking most like the character?

Seriously though, PAX is best choice for body paint for the tattoos unless you get tattoo paper. Her bra on the left side is quilted, but you can buy that on Joanne's fabrics or online. Focus on getting the wig right, do clean braids with the help of wax or gel product. Always use hair spray to keep it all on place.

Yeah, epic cosplay wigs are really nice. Look at Arda too, though they get sold out of stock fast. You may want to invest in wefts as well to make the braids thicker. There's even a tutorial somewhere to do a part in a wig for braids and pigtails.

btw op. if you're going to make this. EVA foam sheets are a fast way to make something that can look fantastic. i recall my friend working on this awhile back and it turned out really nice. posting from phone though. I'll dig through his fb and find the progress shots and post it here later

I'll put this here though, you can use this guy's ideas to work on your props and stuff. Alot of his materials are affordable and you don't need heavy power tools and stuff to do it. Just abit of practice visualizing 3D shapes and you're good.

He might have a point tough. Most girls lose a lot of their boobage when they slim down. My vegetarian friend went from boobs that could fit my palm to DFC just because she was full veggie with actually healthy diet and got skinny in the process.

About how much it will cost... It depend of your sewing and crafting skills. But first, you can't go without a good wig. If you want it to be perfect, you can try to find a front lace wig. Lenses are optional but it's a nice plus. Circle lenses would help for crossplaying, and come in this color.
You can try to find the perfect pink short for this, or find the perfect fabric and make it yourself. Second one is cheaper, but require skill.
About the belts, find exactly the one you need (pretty much imposible) or buy fake leather, golden thread and belt buckles.
For the accessories : you can customize toys or work from scratch, again it nedd experience.
You will also need some good makeup material : brushes, conditioner etc... It will cost more than you initially think, and if you buy only cheap things it will look shitty. Your second exemple did a very nice job by the way.
And the last be not the least : good luck to find accurate boots that fit you and don't cost more than the entire cosplay.
