It's mainly about common sense - don't wear something that is unflattering just because it's brand is something that a lot of people would benefit from. Lolita is actually very accommodating to chubby girls (chubby, not obese). The sizing for most lolita items is much larger than typical Japanese sizing. Being a foreign/chubby gyaru is much more difficult (sizing, styles).

Milky Ange does a size XL which the official measurements are 110cm bust/95 waist, and the dresses often have shirring as well which gives you at least another 5-10cm comfortably. They make a variety of maid and uniform styles as well as Lolita, but have the most gorgeous old school feel to their stuff and have made a bunch of princess sleeve dresses.

Obesity only has to deal with excess body fat and thus excess weight. Just because the BMI metric doesn't work well for athletes and the hugely muscular doesn't mean those people are obese.
The average overweight person is not "overweight" due to muscle mass; they're usually all fat, and this is why it's easier to just say "oh, if you're 40 lbs overweight, you're likely obese."
Obviously a doctor is going to take more than just the number on a scale into account.

Actually, most athletes still manage to stay out of the obese category BMI, just saying. If you're looking specifically at rugby players and weightlifters, yes, but track and field athletes and the gazillion other sports played at an elite level generally don't tend to have bmi-obese players. Back or full shirring is a definite also empire waist items might be the way to go. There is a chubby girl who wears Moitie and looks pretty cute. Putumayo might also be good as their skirts have a lot of stretch. Taobao or getting custom made items might also help.

Putumayo is really short. I recommend caution with empire waists because often larger girls have larger boobs which means there's more front length for the dress to curve over compared to someone smaller - and there really isn't a way to salvage a dress that sits mid boob. Full shirring can make you look bigger and sometimes boobloafy with all the horizontal lines, look for older IW with the single line of shirring at the bust and waist shirring as it's far more flattering

Custom sizing and looking on Taobao for plus size clothing so you get a chance to see what cute stuff works for plus size Asian girls. E.g. those dresses with solid black blocks of color on the side of a dress gives you an appearance of looking more slender. There is also height and body size that factors in too, you know. The shorter a person is, the more fat their legs may seem because it's all compacted. Taller people have more stretched-out proportions. As for body shape, if you're a pear, your legs will also be fatter than someone who has narrower thighs, but this doesn't mean that are fat in proportion with your body.

That's not enough. Eat around 1200-1500 of lean food, fruits, veggies, and lean protein like the other anon said. I was eating around 1000 cal a day of whatever I wanted, then I switched to 1700 cal of only lean food and the weight starting dropping off.

Invest in some nice gym shoes and a good sports bra, and start running. Look at the /fit/ sticky thread for some tips.

I'm 1m58, the 60-65kg anon from upper on this thread. /cgl/ told me I was fat altought I wear eu 38-40, I eat healthy this is my normal weigh. When I was at the hospital for another health problem I just stopped to eat because I was depressed and hospital food isn't good anyway, so I dropped 20 kg.
It took me month to regain my normal weigh and during these I had my teeth moving, my hair falling and constant faint. I could drop maybe 5kg at my actual weigh, but not more or I'll end up sick.

Not following this conversation, but you need to take frame into consideration. At 5'4", if I go a couple of kilos over 55, my body looks worse than someone who weighs 70 kilos. That's because I have a small frame (especially in the hips) and excess fat looks lumpy and ruins my midsection. Right now I weigh about 60 and my midsection makes me want to cry, it's so lumpy and bumpy looking.

Diff anon but you need to realize that the default cup size allowance on all princess seamed bodices is two inches, aka a b cup. If you're well below the max bust and not in a princess seamed bodice, yeah you'll be swimming. But if you are within the normal range of the size and have a big difference between full bust and underbust you will suffer from boob loaf since the pattern itself doesnt have anywhere for the breast mass to go other than lumped in the center or to the sides of the rib cage pulling the front of the dress upwards and stretching the bodice between the breasts without any definition between them.
