Jojo fans don't give two shits about any imperfections especially if you cosplay beyond Part 3. The Jojo series allows for a surprisingly amount of flexibility for costumes

Araki doesn't believe in a cannon color scheme

>You want to cosplay from part 3 and earlier but are not built like a linebacker
Just say you're cosplaying the characters after Araki changed his art style

Last year I did a Jolyne cosplay. I have to fix the wig because the whole cosplay was made super fast. The fabric part at least came out deccently (sewing non-stretchy white lines to a stretchy fabric was a pain... specially when I had to put it on), but the wig needs some more styling. It was the first time I dyed a wig and it all started with a 100cm white wig. Separate dyeing it, with care not to mix the blue and pink parts, cutting, making the odangos... But at least it stays on!
I also made a DIO but I don't have photos of him right now. I hopefully will do a decent photoshoot (with my wig already done) when the weather is nice enough.

Excuse the lack of details such as the arm butterfly, but I'm allergic to pigment and I didn't have the time to find paint that doesn't make me go to the hospital.

That wig looks really nice, the buns (or at least the visible one) are so tidy and that really clean split between the fringe and the main part. I would never have considered dying a wig because I didn't think it could turn out with such well defined colour sections.

Also as a suggestion re: the arm tattoo, for mine I used fake tattoo paper that you print on with a normal printer which makes things a lot easier than trying to paint on all the details on the butterfly. Trying to find a pic of mine where my arm isn't facing away from the camera or in shadow is difficult, the stuff I used is a bit shiny and you can see the edges off which may be able to be solved with a dusting of powder you're not allergic to over it but I didn't have spare to experiment with. This is provided you're not allergic to temporary tattoo paper in the first place of course.

The tattoo changes depending on what colour scheme/outfit variation she is wearing to match the one on her top. Unless you're doing the Stone Ocean V15 cover, it's not likely to be of use. Also I'm shit at drawing so it's really not that good and printed her birthmark on the same file so that's also there.

Thanks! Normally, people do the wig buying two different color ones and sewing them together, but I knew that with one I could do the job. And sewing a wig is a hard task too, so I decided to make the dyeing method. The other bun is the same, haha (and yours are also very clean and well-made). I definitely recommend this dying method as it can turn out really well, with the exact colors one wishes. You just have to be extremely careful not to spill the blue dye over the pink, because then the hair will be left to cut or be part of the blue part.

I will search a little bit more on tattoo paper with powder beneath. I remember in my child years I put on some of these fake tattoos... I hope I can now. You will be my saviour if this works. Yours is so nice!

Excuse my face as I was trying not to fall (my balance and I are natural enemies). And excuse too the bobby pin used to keep my bangs in place for this purpose. I need to make better photos of this cosplay, I love her so much she deserves it. And with the Star Platinum CD!

I'll definitely try dying the wig if I do the green/blue Jolyne like I plan to. Sewing two wigs together was incredibly tedious and used 2 80cm wigs so the dying method may be a bit cheaper. Powder would go over, not under the temporary tattoo, I don't know if using powder under would allow it to hold.

Yeah you gotta nail the faces as Jojo "stern face" is a classic staple for many of the characters. It's something a little bit of mirror time can fix. I made the mistake of angling my body toward the camera where the short end of the wig is seen along with having a shadow over the bangs which makes it look weird

Gosh yes, keeping the right face when posing can be difficult if you don't have practice. I fucked up so many shots due to having my difficulty in holding the pose showing on my face. Didn't realise practising facial expressions was as important as practising flexibility.
My own uncharacteristically concerned due to holding a kicking pose face for reference. I definitely need to fix this.

Yes, it is a pity, without that shadow it'd have been good.
It was my first time doing a kick, and I'm not very flexible (and it was freezing outside, too!). I'll be sure to practice a lot more to be able to do it with a proper expression and a more decent pose. I have four months or so, I think it will be enough.
Damn Jolyne kicks. Why couldn't she stay in a wheelchair, like Johnny.

I'm going to be a Johnny cosplay in a few months, I'm just a bit curious as to where I can get starry fabric (going to do his All-Star Battle color scheme), anyone have any ideas? Ran through JoAnn's online catalog and didn't find anything that works.

Oh man, that's crazy. Though I'm not sure I'd be comfortable wearing spandex unless I put it on the outside of some pre-existing pants or something, I'll keep digging around for fabrics. I've never made pants from scratch so this will be an experience.

Yeah, that was our first time actually doing wigs. It's still a mystery on how to style, but hopefully we will get better. I don't mind the criticism at all, I am going to attempt remaking it in the future since I know what hell I am doing now.
