My cousin has a deviated septum and I always wondered if I did too. I never feel like I can get enough air through my nose and it always feels like I'm stuffed up.

It's been at the back of my mind to see a doctor about, but there's much more pressing medical things I need to look into and I don't want to look like a spaz.

No one (at least, not Westerners) can really have "anime" noses, anyway. I don't even take that into account when judging whether or not a cosplay is awesome. Don't worry about it. You go and rock your bones, anon.

Besides, sometimes "fixing" your nose actually makes you less recognizable. Look what happened to Jennifer Grey. No one would hire her after she got a nose job, because without her signature nose, she looked...well. Average. Pic related.

Anon, no one is ever going to look at you from a 90 degree angle exactly. Most people will look at you straight up, in which case the nose bump isn't even noticeable.
Where I live, Roman and Grecian noses are VERY common (well, it's Greece). The lady in the picture, Elena Paparizou, is considered really beautiful even though she has a nose like yours, worse even. No one has ever said anything about it and she doesn't even shop it flatter in a lot of pictures. Ever since she competed in the Eurovision song contest people from many countries have all talked about how beautiful she was and no one mentioned her nose once. It's a really common nose, you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

I paid 5000€ for my nose job and it was the best decision I ever made.
I broke my nose when I was 17 and was constantly insecure. I had a list of 5 or 6 procedures I wanted done and started to save up for. I thought my nose job would just be step number one and I wouldn't go out in public or date again until I had all these procedures.

Turned out that after fixing my broken nose, I magically regained my calm and was simply happy with who I was.
Now I think the things I wanted done are fucking ridiculous.
Two years after my nose job I'm 100% sure I won't go under the knife again.

I really recommend just getting that ONE PROCEDURE you really want and then see if it calms your craziness.

Do be aware that people that have had nose surgery often cannot make pig noses.

(i.e. pull up the tip of your nose to make it look like a pig)

When years later your child asks you to make him/her laugh and you realize your cartilage is stuck to your mangled nose. Unable to show them the simple joys of life, caged into simply being able to play peekaboo and nothing else, you will cry yourself to sleep, wondering where it all went wrong.

However, I can deal with these features and work with them.
My nose on the other hand, I can't stand. I've hated it for years. (Since I was 11-12.) It's big, pointy, and while some people can rock noses like mine, I just can't. I feel like it makes my face look more masculine, which I DON'T want.
Fortunately, I have a plan to get a rhinoplasty. I was born with a deviated septum, and my insurance covers most (if not all) of the surgery to fix it. Within that surgery, I can get a rhinoplasty included for no extra cost. I plan to get this done in June if all goes according to plan.

Fuck body shaming, which is so prevalent among this board. Body shaming is the reason young people get so delusional about their features, when there is not a problem to start with. The reason it affects young people so horribly, is because they don't have the capacity to see that it doesn't matter and that the comment to that one person is not somehow directly related to them. That is why we see 1/5(a huge fraction) of the amount of rhinoplastys going towards teens, a group who generally does not have the capacity to pay for plastic surgery.

Promote healthy habits, promote makeup tips to help make a part of the face look like another's, promote tips on dressing well. Those are all great and without the added insult towards someone's body structure.

None of those things are happening on this board. Instead we have a bunch of insecure individuals seeking validation for how horrible they look. If you want complain about how you look awful with your nose then leave the complaining on facebook. If you want it changed then ask specific questions about the cost/location/etc, which I haven't seen yet.

Don't focus on a part of you that you don't like. Only the most extreme cases really require surgery. Be happy with yourself and your confidence will translate into others being happy with it as well.
