The big poofy wig is better because it disguises your jawline and hides the broadness of your shoulders. Wear clothes that would flatter a inverted triangle body shape instead of just cute stuff you can find.

i can't really tell because the photos are too blurry, but i think the eyebrows are too bright brown, they look radioactive and unnatural. maybe it's just the lighting though. a brown that's more muted (not more dark, but more grey and less orange) would look better.

also it looks like you're drawing your eyebrows in by the hair-strands. are you doing that? (if you are, don't do that anymore)

I would be wary of getting a corset unless you go custom as it is likely to be too tight on your ribcage and too loose at the hips. Most corsets are visible through clothes as well unless you wear shapewear over them. Padded shapewear would be better most likely

Yeah cheap ones are typically made for females, so all males run into problems with too-tight ribcage and too-large hips. Unfortunately you can't fix it by turning them upside down since the shaping of hips is vastly different from the ribcage

i'm female and i don't trap so maybe you can't do it like i do, and i don't know if it's the correct way of doing brows. just what my nice brow-trimming lady taught me.

before all this you should have nicely trimmed and tidied brows you look fine in >>7293546 but your photos aren't clear enough to tell.

firstly when you draw your brows, use the side of the pencil (red) and not the tip (blue)

lightly draw the part i indicated in orange, in the same direction i pointed out. don't use too much pressure, draw a few layers to add the impression of the colour in. after that draw it like the purple arrow. lastly blend the drawn parts in by rubbing in a circular motion with your brush or what you use. I use the back of my knuckle though that's not something good to do. if you have any bald spots in your eyebrow maybe draw a few more layers over that area.

after every few strokes please step back from the mirror to check if you drew them too thick/dark. also check if your bald spots still look bald. when you're looking at your eyebrows really close, it should look like it's not thick enough, but when you step back enough to see at least your crotch in the mirror, it will look very defined. cosplay is very photography centric though, so maybe i am wrong and maybe you should just do your eyebrows thick.

also i think the super arched eyebrows make you look more mature, if you want to cos as a young cute character maybe pic related will be better, a less angular kinda eyebrow. see what works for you.

Make your eyebrows slightly darker than your wig. Look into concealing your natural brows and using eyeshadow and an angled brush to draw them on as you can get far better colours that way. Can we get any less blurry pictures to give make up advice?
Also I'd suggest not going with a corset since you look fairly thin, just pad your hips and chest. Are you doing default Luka?

my hair is black (looks brown when cast in bright light), i use a dark brown pencil. i draw like 5 layers at most. if you find that your brows end up too thick, maybe draw just the center/middle "section" of the brow. maybe you were trying to draw your brow + an outline.

I'd honestly just use your natural brows if you could. Nicely shaped natural (real) brows make for a wonderful mindfuck. Boys don't normally shape them up. Lady makes a point, generally the rules for eyebrows are consistent no matter what gender. Your arch looks wonderful but bring the middle closer together. Not a whole lot... just a tinge. Fuck I wish I could still trap. When I was like 19-20 and not even trying I'd walk into stores and get called m'am to my face even though I'm average male height and had masculine hair. When I trapped a few times at cons people would walk right up to me and start conversations and then freak out when they heard my voice. When I was really skinny at that age I had a 28" waist and 41" hips which made it even more convincing. A major part of why I've had a beard for most of my adult life was because I was so sick of getting mistaken for a girl. I got harassed by creeps a lot too when I trapped.

Coming from a transsexual whom folks say has the voice thing down to an art, the best advice I can give you is stop using your ears to judge and instead feel for the change. Don't listen for the right pitch/resonance, because not only does everyone sound different to themselves than they do to others, but feeling where the vibrations are resonating and with what intensity will be give you much more accuracy and control.

In the male voice, the largest amount of resonance will be in the throat, further back in the vocal tract. To find your female register, the vibrations will be much farther up, like on the roof of your mouth (where mine is) or behind your front teeth, or even in your nasal passage (though that usually results in kind of an annoying voice imo). Just practice with trial and error until you find something that sounds really good (this can take a really long time, took me about a year) and then practice on that. That probably won't be the final product, but it'll help you get to it.

Once you've got all that down, you can actually go back into male pitch range (to an extent) and it'll still sound feminine. Good luck!

I actually have a question. My boyfriend recently confessed he really wants to trap at a con. if he's doing a masked cosplay, he could consider a genderbend Kakashi, with twin pigtails to help frame his face along with the mask. Then fake-eyelashes and eye shadow and circle lenses should help draw attention to the eyes and not the shape of the face.
stockings/leggings look pretty good on skinny legs, hiding the knee caps and certain muscle definition in the leg along with the hair if he doesn't want to shave. Not sure if it's helpful because i'm not good enough to give advice.

i can't put my finger to it exactly, but you look more like a very pretty boy than a girl in these new pictures. i think the hairstyle is the problem, when you wore the white wig it the two ponytail things and bangs+fringe tails (whatever you call it) framed your face in a girly manner. your nose looked softer, and your cheeks too. the hairstyle of the pink wig doesn't have the same effect. i think having a little V in the fringe makes your face look more angular? and the V points at your nose and your nose looks kinda, guyish. i'm sorry i don't know how to explain it better. small eyes really aren't the issue most asian girls have eyes just like yours. if i cover half your face such that i only see your eyes and crown of the head you pull off trapping pretty well.

i don't remember if i mentioned, but bear in mind i'm not a cosplayer. and i don't know anything about vocaloid except that it's a program that has a voice to make songs with. I comment with the intention of helping you trap in mind, not cosplay accurately (sorry don't get mad if you fall in that camp okay)

i think you shouldn't cut the fringe in a V. Try to have straight bangs. I personally like to see things look good over having 100% perfect cosplays. After all I'm not a cosplayer so I just want to see pretty things. Maybe vocaloid fans may get mad though IDK. I think you look better if the fringe was shorter, touching or slightly above your eyebrows. do you know how to trim bangs? You could do it on a dummy set of clip-on bangs first if you don't want to risk destroying the pink wig.

And luka has those headphones(?) thingy? Use that to section away the back of your hair. Like a girl's headbow. So that you have a fringetail set apart from the rest of your hair. It should help to frame your face.

I usually don't use only two tones for eyeshadow, I'll look through my stuff to find an example...on a side note, do you intend to fulfill >>7316320's request?

You can get a sponge for foundation first, though you waste more foundation applying with a sponge.

OK so i never had big problems with acne scars being bumpy (mine were mostly discolourations which foundation fixed) so i REALLY stand corrected on all this. i think - i only think, i'm not very sure - the best solution is to clear up your skin.

firstly, do you usually take care of your skin? most guys don't, and they're pretty apathetic about it, but i think it's better to work with a "clean" canvas than try and fill pores/smooth out bumps on a bumpy canvas.

yeah i started my skincare abit too late. the scars are leftovers from a teenage period where i popped my zits.
i don't have thick facial hair, so a thick coverage of concealer always took care of my shadow. i have a friend who brings a razor in his makeup kit along with him to cons and redoes the makeup on his chin area halfway through. get as close a shave as possible i guess
