I kind of like a more mature-looking sweet that involve navies, wines and ivories, which is why I've been digging some of the new stuff AP has come out with in the past year.

Changes with whatever dress I'm in love with. Right now I'm going to say Chocochip Cookie.

>> No.7293466

Not relevant but I had to come in to say how much that picture irritates the shit out of me. I had to sit across from it at an AA once and while it's a funny and cute-ish picture online, the thought of someone actually trying to sell this as a print pissed me off so much. Like fuck, use a different color for the writing at least. Ugh, so sloppy, so careless. If this print were a dress, it would be ita as fuck.

Well they're condemned it's because a lot of lolita lifestylers are usually so high up on some sparkly special snowflake unicorn that they think they're automatically better than every other lolita because they're "real" lolitas for basing their lifestyle around a fashion when they seriously just need to get over themselves.

I think they just copy and pasted the print along the drawing instead of attempting to redraw it. Why they tinted it green, I don't get...and as if it was so hard to add red/green/yellow dots on the dress?

>>7293331
Also a guy, may as well put my two cents in.

1) Classic, somewhat subtle Gothic. Anything that's not pastel or covered in crazy prints. Solids and subtle patterns in daker colors all the way.

2) MM, IW, AaTP. I love gothic stuff but the girls I've dated who did loli hated it so I don't know the brands as well for that niche.

when you use the word "print" in the lolitasphere, it's referring to the artwork on the border of the dress. I'm guessing what you meant was the actual OP image "print" instead, and I agree with you wholeheartedly.

I see no glory in spending so much money on dresses which you noobs look bad in anyway. What's the point of dressing in costumes when you just attract the wrong attention. The traditional, modest Victorian girl knows more shame than to dress in that manner on the streets. In Victorian times you're probably likened to being, pardon my being blunt, the most indecent of prostitutes. It takes real skill to brew a satisfying pot of tea too :)

>>7298069
I'm not European, but thank you! There is so much more to Lolita than the superficiality of minding your exterior appearance. A true Lolita acts like a refined lady and behaves as a Lolita should. The rest should be ashamed.

Lolita does not equal Victorian clothing, you bitch.
It's inspired by, meaning that it includes elements from Victorian clothing, but it certainly does not mean Victorian.

I'm sorry to break it to you hun, but you're not lolita.
Lolita is defined by the clothes they wear, not how they act. It's not a lifestyle. It's a fashion.
You're just a girl living a Victorian lifestyle, stop considering yourself lolita.

I'm not even lolita, by the way.

I'm "European loli", and you should know (if you are not a troll) that this is no place for us to talk in a flowery language. More thant taht, lifestyle lolita doesn't mean you have to fake things you aren't (victorian maiden, doll or anything). It's not a costume, it's not a play, it's your fucking clothes. Lifestyle means different things for different people, but it don't mean "act like a moron because you are better thant anyone else"
