Happy New Year's Eve seagulls! What are your 2014 cosplay/convention plans? Do you have any resolutions relating to them?

starting off with mine

I now have a sewing machine, so my cosplay resolution is to finally learn how to sew! I think Jade and Gou won't be too difficult, but Shimako is kind of my 'big' project, since I heard sailor suits can be tricky. I put Asuka in there too, just because I love Asuka and I've always wanted to cosplay as her. But based off of how this year may go, I probably won't be able to. (I also don't really know how tricky her school uniform would be.)

Tweaked this a little since the last time I posted it. Ky is done and I have the majority of Barnaby, Cyclops, and Sailor Jupiter done. Protoman, Sailor Jupiter, and Rei will happen if my group can get their corresponding cosplays done in time and the version of Jounouchi I do will be determined by how long it takes for my Duel Disk to arrive. My only resolution that could relate to cosplay would be to work out more and I've already started on that.

Junko is finished, Riven is about 85% done (just getting started on her sword and I need to make the right shoulder "armor"), and Takane is about 5% done. I wanted to have Riven fully done by the end of this week, but that is most likely not going to happen. I really want to be done with her so I can finish Takane in time for Katsucon. The others won't be started on until after Katsucon.

Not sure what cons I might attend in late 2014. Depends on money.

Keeping it small again this year, I don't have a lot of time to dedicate to more than three or four each year. Classic Sailor Uranus was from 2013, but we're doing a full senshi group this year so I'm using it again. The rest will debut at Anime Expo, unless I finish one or two before Conji.

Looks like a lot because... well, it's a ton, haha. I gotta trim this down (only Ryuko, Princess Tutu, Super Sailor Moon and Kazumi are confirmed for Katsucon) but these are all the things I've talked about with others/had seriously entertained for myself.

Also yeah that helped Part 5 for me. Giorno was a little boring and over powered for my tastes. The villain was also kind of meh to me. I didn't dislike it though, it was still fun just not top of my list ha ha

The five on the left are my main plans, and then I've got a pile of maybes that might happen depending on how things turn out (possible groups, con schedule, etc.)

Con-wise, I'm extra pumped for Anime Boston since it's on my birthday and I'm excited to go to AX again, but Fanime might not happen for me, unfortunately. On the bright side, there's a slight possibility I'll be able to hit up SDCC this year.

Overall I'm just super excited for 2014 and all the wacky cosplay adventures that await!

Like all my initial plans, these will most likely be swapped around and replaced during the year but I'm 100% sticking with Prince Robot IV. Even though I haven't seen much of a Saga fandom around here, I'm really excited to get it done (and hopefully come across fans at Fan Expo).

Minori, Rise and Naruko are the big maybes. I don't know if I'll suit Minori very well, but everyone in my LH group is much taller than I am and Akatsuki goes to the shortest member.

Naturally, these are all prone to change. I'm redoing Parappa and France with better make up (hopefully) and I'm making a new prop for Boris.

As for the Rune Factory boys, I'm still debating on which one of them I want to try. So far, I'm thinking Doug, but in all honesty, they all are totally beyond my skill level. I'm going to take my time deciding which one to pursue, and then I'll take my sweet time on getting him done.
