Maybe get a group together? that can help simpler, generic(for lack of a better word)-looking costumes more recognizable.
I've wanted to cosplay Ran for forever but don't want to without a Conan. It's a good thing I don't have any younger siblings or they'd be smothered by my nerdy influence from a young age. I'd give them no choice in Halloween costumes, it would be terrible.

Don't listen to >>7243687 . At least try the 3 episode rule when you watch it. It starts out as a tokusatsu super hero (like Kamen Rider etc.) version of Kickass. Then episode 7 (I think, can't remember) changes everything. Also episode 1 is nothing like the other episodes. Episode 1 makes you think you're watching fujoshi bait, but the rest is a fun ride.
