neko means cat

didnt read the flier, it basically seems like a weeaboo beacon. If you do decide to go, bring some form of concealable weapon so you dont get raped.
if youre decent looking, you may enjoy yourself as you will be one of the best looking people in the room. but if you dont like anime, dont bother.

The joke is how weeb that is, and sushi is a terrible dish to choose to serve at some cheapass party. Sushi also isn't a food that automatically appeals to a lot of people and I'll bet at their little party they won't make sure that those allergic to seafood are properly and safely accommodated for. I bet there'll be at least one idiot volunteer who mingles some fish in with the vegetarian sushi and cross contaminates it.

Whoa, that kinda turned into a food safety rant when I basically just intended it to be "Haha weebs and neckbeards!"

I went to Neko Nation Perth last year and it was fun. I'd describe it as a blue light disco for cosplayers. There was J/K-pop and anime music playing, video games and people just hanging out in cosplay and having fun.

It was the politest little event I have been to. There was no argy-bargy and no creepers. Everyone lined up at the bar politely and had a good time.

There were quiet a few people there on their own, just standing in the corners/fringes. I wanted to gather them all up into a little group together so we could talk about games/anime.

It's bad don't go

>> No.7220557

It's like a rave/dance event thing. Expect drinking, jpop/anime/gaming dj sets, and they usually have video games to play (the perth one will have video games upstairs, dancing downstairs)
It's also cosplayer-friendly. Most people go in weeaboo-tier catgirl/rave crap, but some people make nice stuff and take it seriously.
If you like dancing and that kind of music, give it a go they usually have good djs (at the perth one at least).
Lots of people say they don't enjoy it, but I guess it depends on who you go with, and how much you like music

neko nation is basically just a weeb rave. go if you like raves. drinking dancing, can be a fun night.
