Post that one piece you have in your closet that you never wear because you have nothing to coord it with.

This mint striped trench.
I've only worn it once. But to be fair I've never actively tried to incorporate it into a coord...I just keep forgetting about it somehow.

Not a big fan of those sleeves, but I would pair it with a busier skirt with black lace/accents and then pick a tone from the skirt pattern for a corset or bustier.

This jsk, it's gorgeous in the nicest colourway imo but it's far too short for me, I'm 5'8 and I think the shape of the jsk makes it look even shorter on me, I also have no other red items so I haven't been able to coordinate it. I'm really not sure what to do with it.

i have this dress in pink from bodyline.

the main problem with it is the color. it's not the same shade of light pink that is basically standard in every other light pink item i own across various brands. it's almost a dusty, "vintage" pink in person, and as a result it's too far off from any other pink i have, and it doesn't really look good with white shoes. i just don't know what to do with it. ;_;

JetJ's "Le Monde de L'Ange" JSK in pink. I have no clue how to coord it since the pinks are dusty pinks and the dark portions are some weird charcoal color. I also need a flatter a-line petti for it. It's such a gorgeous dress and I really love the feathers but holy crap I cannot work out how to coordinate it! I should have gone for the blue colorway, like everyone else.

i feel like if you do a white bouse and some sort of waist tie (sash or belt or something) that matches with the shoes it could work. with a print as complicated as this, i feel like you shouldn't try to match the colours but rather complement them

This. The rest of my wardrobe is black/brown/ivory so I don't own anything that matches, and on top of that the main colours, dusky pink and pale olive green (?) are a lot rarer in lolita than standard pink and mint. Its a beautiful skirt but I think unless I spend months and lots of money tracking down the right pieces to match it, I won't be able wear it.

I feel like this one tends towards a more vintage feel? There are a couple of cardigans/boleros out at the moment in a similar blue colour. I think the easiest way to do it right away would be to just tie a ribbon in the blue colour under your shirt collar, maybe even blue shoes and then pick out the pink in your accessories. I threw together the quickest co-ord without shoes or tights just to explain what I'm trying to say.

Thank you, based anon! My biggest problem with that is trying to find a blue that actully matches! However, I do a lot of knitting and you just gave me an idea for a coord with a lace shawl or something in that color. Should be easy to take the skirt to various yarn shops for a color that matches.

This shade goes best with cream, mint, and light browns. You might have to go a little more classic-sweet with it.

Also if it helps that color seems popular right now in mainstream fashion. Icing had some cute accessories that were suitably lacy and classy and polkadotted.

>> No.7210638

>>7210377
Idk I think you could pull off a cream or ivory blouse with it, maybe with a rose or green cardigan, and just pull the colors in with small accessories. Its a delicate print and would look nice with other delicate touches of color on a light background. Like a cute velvet bow at the collar of a creamy blouse.
