Suggestions for binders?

I'd like to get a nice binder that's not too pricey (I'm new to cosplaying boys, and while ace bandages WORK, I know they're not good + are a pain to put on).

Suggestions?

Get a bandage from the chemist/wherever sells medical supplies, make sure its thick enough to cover everything in only two loops.
Breath in half way, wrap it firm but not tight, then breath out. It shouldn't fall off.

Another way is if you can't stop it falling off wrap it around each armpit once or twice to keep it up

>>7195048
um no. Using bandages is an awful way to bind.
Sure they're cheap, but they risk, asphyxiation, cracked ribs, and breast sagging. Not pretty.
I do recommend underworks, even if it is pricey, since they tend to last longer.
If you're looking for cheap, however, i recommend http://www.ebay.ca/itm/SHO-Les-Lesbian-Tomboy-Chest-Binder-Undershirt-Slim-Fit-Vest-Tops-XS-XXL-J0028-/251245214760?pt=US_Corsets_Bustiers&var=&hash=item3a7f61bc28
they're cheap and several of my friends use them. The same binders that were in OP's pic are from the same company, and although i don't know anyone who's bought one, i might just try one myself since they're only 6 bucks.

Not OP, but I am in need of a binder. I have size D breasts, so I'm having difficulty picking a good binder - I've never bought one before.
Would you still recommend the ebay link you provided for a larger chest?

Or would something like this be more guaranteed to compress them? http://www.underworks.com/women/compression-tops/women-s-ultra-light-cotton-spandex-compression-tank

>> No.7196202

>>7196145
This. It can't be repeated enough to that ace bandages are outright dangerous. It's not a question of not good for you, they will fuck you up.
I bind daily (I'm FtM) and my favorite binder is the underworks tri-top. It's expensive, but mine last me quite a while, so one only used for cosplay would last as long you take care of it.

i know this is not what you want to hear, but perhaps playing males/flatter characters is just not for you. binding D's sounds painful, and may possibly not even be that effective in making them disapear.

Do you even into binding at all?

Binding down D's is most definitely possible. While you won't get a completely flat chest like that on a guy, your boobs will get flattened down enough that they should look flat unless you're wearing something skintight or clingy.

Binding larger boobs is no more painful than binding smaller boobs (it shouldn't be painful ever, though. if binding is painful for you or the person you're getting binding advice from then they're doing it wrong)

You seem to have literally no idea what you're talking about

I'm quite busty a full c cup, i use a sport compression bra and a waist/hip shapewear pulled up over my bust. It's not completely flat but it's the best I can do without impairing my health.

It actually depends on the ratio of fat to actual breast tissue. If you were to try and flatten your chest with your hand, some people would encounter a lot of resistance and some people's are easy to flatten. It can help to try something like bandages just to check that your chest can actually be compressed to how you like it (though I must stress not to leave them on for any length of time!) and if you can do it, go for a binder.

I've used the "ultimate chest binder tank" for a few years. I'm a 32E so nothing's ever gonna get me flat, but it gets me somewhere in the range of "average guy with a bit of chest pudge". It works better if you fold it over so the bottom half is also covering your chest.

>> No.7196839

you know what I really want?
I want a binder that flattens and shapes your boobs into pecks, not just flattening. I don't want to look like some skinny high school boy.
These binders make you look flat, but there is no cut in the middle to make it look like you have two separate muscles. It's all just one continuous shape.
Though I imagine that it wouldn't work too well on people with a larger bust.
Not that there is anything wrong with these though

>> No.7196843

>>7196839
Probably you'll have to tape for that...

Try mansculpture. It's pricey, but it does just that.

Different problem here, seagulls. My boobs are less than an A cup and my ribcage is smaller than normal, can I just use bandages to bind? Are binders still the way to go? Or will the smallest of binders still be loose on me?

Just dropping in to say that the Underworks tri top binder is great. After going a few years using a tkingdom binder I decided to try an Underworks and I have to say it's way better for me. Pic is me with tits(holyshit I cannot into posing) and me with the Underworks tri top. It's not perfectly flat but as >>7196359 said, sometimes that just won't happen.

A cool thing about the Underworks binder is you can cut the neckline deeper if you want without anything bad happening. Uh it's also a little fun to get in and out of but with practice it's not so bad.

Not the anon you're replying to but I'm trans* and I use one pretty much daily. It flattens everything from chest to hips wonderfully. The only issue is rolling, but you can prevent that by having it tucked into your undies.

The full length ones are long enough to cover your hips/butt if you don't have a wicked long torso. It doesn't leave any strange shapes on the torso, but it will take a noticeable amount off your hip measurement. The only thing I can say is you might want to add a little bit of fabric to the end or tuck it into something to stop it rolling up - I've had mine occasionally roll up slightly and leave me looking like I have two asses.

Does it smooth out stomach fat at all or would I have to look into additional shapewear for that? Also, how far down does it tend to go? Like does it cover the butt, stop at the pelvis, go further than the butt, etc?

I'm 5'3 (woe is me) and it goes down to ~5cm down my thighs when pulled down. It smooths things out pretty well, unless my clothes are too small/really tight. Pic related: First is binder alone, second is regular t-shirt, third is tight t-shirt.

You are very welcome and I hope you like it! A couple tips:
1. Putting it on can be difficult especially the first time. Some people say they step into it and pull it up but I don't like that idea. I put it on over my head and then spend a few minutes unrolling it down(it gets kinda rolled/tangled. This step can be frustrating). And don't put it on right after a shower unless you like hard mode.
2. Like most binders you gotta move your tits around a little underneath and see where they sit to look the flattest.
3. The neckline is pretty high but as I said it can be cut lower pretty safely.

>>7197522
I couldn't tell you about the full length binders but I always heard you have to be careful about them rolling up. You'd think they would somehow be designed not to do that but I did read some stuff about that happening. Also the full length binders have 2 layers of compression material where the tri top has three. Based on that the full length binding may not be as strong. The Ultimate Chest Binder Tank >http://www.underworks.com/men/compression-shirts/ultimate-chest-binder-tank did have a positive review from a b-cup cosplayer though.

when you put it on a lot of people recommend stepping into it when it's upside down and inside out, pulling it up to the waist, pulling the shoulders up so the fabric overlaps and runs up itself before you slip your arms in and straighten everything out abd pull the bottom down.

Couldn't you also do that leotard trick? There's one where you get a skin colored one and paint on a chest, meant for men that want to cosplay more muscly people. Surely you could wear that over your binder instead of cutting it?

You could do that for sure if you wanted to. I mean you might see a colour difference between the top of the leotard and your neck. If you are doing like full open chest cosplay then yeah the leotard is one of the better ways to do it. Probably the best way depending on tit size.

In my case the tri top neckline is just really high even for normal tees so cutting it is the easiest method. Most of the pics with this costume the binder did not show like that though so a leotard would be a lot of extra work for my lazy ass.
