Also I laugh since this was obviously made as a breather episode after the first 5 episodes.

We go from the cute boy with the glasses fetish decimating a forest and knocking out his "friends" to a pop idol episode and the characters get hit multiple times with stinky youmu sludge. Which I can only imagine the sheer pain in the ass it took to clean up the flood of youmu vomit.

Also my dream cosplay group is a giant Jing King of Bandits. With as many of the Jing girls as possible, Jing, Postino, and the bad guys. Jing is like 75% of the cosplay, and the rest a handful of the girls, and I have never seen any of the badguys in the series cosplayed.

Kyoukai no Kanata aka Beyond the Boundries. There's a series of light novels too. Basically main girl has cursed blood, kills demons/aka youmu with sword made from her blood. She's socially awkward and doesn't like interacting with people because of her cursed blood. Blond guy is have youmu, has a thing for girls in glasses. Black hared characters are siblings, guy has a sister complex. Girl likes to give blond guy and brother hard time. Brunette is a youmu that can take human form. Her other form is a bakaneko.

It's a decent series. The shots of them doing idol group is a breather episode.

I've just been watching the subs on anime flavor.

I'll have to look through again then, the only one I remember seeing do customs is cosmonde but I'd rather not pay $65 with another $40 shipping for jerseys.
I bought my Shutoku/Midorima jersey for $40 including express shipping from miccostumes and I thought it was pretty solid, I just wish they did custom numbers.

I love group cosplays but three 'friends' have ruined them for me.
One who is REALLY GOOD at making costumes also happens to hate being uncomfortable so she ends up ditching her cosplay within an hour if she's not in a competition because of her head itching under the wig, binding, etc. Now she's gone solo and refuses to tell anyone about her cosplay plans just so she can get all the oohs and aahs on the day and preen like a fucking peacock.
Second is an attention whore who never starts her elaborate costumes until a week before the event and then bitches when people don't love her. On a bad day she'll just show up at the con without her costume and mope in a corner. She can't do makeup to save her life and she actually screams for photog attention at photoshoots if they're doing solo shots that aren't of her.
Third couldn't sew a line when I met her but now that she can barely put a shite costume together she acts like she's queen of cosplay. Too good for us plebs and constantly takes cosplay ideas from friends and then acts shocked when they have the same plan for the same day at the con. Or, she'll make cosplay plans with friends and then show up in a completely different costume on the day.

If you want an easy group, Baccano has tons of fun characters and most are fairly easy to cosplay.

I want to get a full main cast Devil is a Part-Timer group together, but things always come up and most people drop out at the last second. Boooo.

My groups never work out. Not even duets. No one ever gets their shit together on time (sometimes myself included), or my close friends are interested in things I just couldn't care less about. A lot of them have found other cosplay friends and are planning groups with them, so I'm kind of off in my own world on my own again. All I really want is a group of cosplayers who are in at least decent shape, know how to use makeup, are good at crafting/sewing, and share my interests. Apparently very difficult to find.

I love group cosplays but I moreso find myself drafted into groups as I end up cosplaying a missing character by chance. Only time I've really was in a group from the planning stages was our huge VLR team group and Jackie Chan Adventures. Most of the time I do doubles or trio cosplays

Still the headaches and work needed to pull off a successful group instantly vanishes when you succeed.

My lame dream group cosplay is Samurai Champloo. It's my favorite anime by far, and even though the group would be 3 characters I feel like it's impossible to find decent cosplayers who love the show and would suit the other two characters. There's probably some girls I could draft as a good Fuu but fuck if I can find a good Mugen to my Jin.

I've been wanting to ask this for a while, but haven't thought it worth a thread of its own:

Me and a bro can't think of too many options for he and I to do. I'm taller and pretty thin (6 foot ~155) and he's about 5'9 and bear mode. the problem we run into is that almost every bearmode dude is tall as well.

things we've considered: saito/batou, spike/jet, t-bone/razor (swat kats, but neither of us is a furry), mustang/armstrong

any ideas?

Everyone I see has like 1 or 2 members that are really good and everyone else is shit. Like the Zetsus that just literally have ferns. WTF??
So far, we have Pein, Konan, Itachi (my first crossplay!) Hidan and my bf will be Kisame.

I think the Shino vs Konan would be pretty cool and totally badass if you found others to cosplay the rest of the clan. Can't you convince him to cosplay Pein though? He's awesome!

That is why you have a cosplay group, with the other more identifiable characters (Hachiken, Mikage, Tamako and so on) they will bring out the rest who ain't really recognizable (Beppu, Tokiwa and so on) Going on with something akin to the live action movie (while staying accurate to the manga) I think it will work out like pic related.

But if you have the characters by themselves, I do admit they will not be identifiable...

One of the most exciting parts of cosplaying is being involved in a group, especially when that group consists of your best friends. I have my moments when I want to do something solo, but I love when I can share my passion for a series with others through the form of cosplay. My friends and I have been cosplaying together for many years and although a few drama queens have come and gone, it has been an over all good experience. It helps that we're very laidback and mostly in it to have fun, and we understand each other when we're scraping for time and funds to finish something.

My group is doing the Turks, from FF7. Will anyone recognize us? Sorry selfpost but er... I've done quite a bit of group cosplays?

One's at conventions are the hardest, a lot of people said they'd be going but...nope. This ended up being who did show up. It's a tad bit easier with photoshoots outside con but people will drop out 5 hours before and not tell anyone.

In all honesty, there is a lot of...me getting on people's asses about getting their cosplays done as far as groups go with my friends. (Though only with friends I know well, not random con people I'm fb friends with or something...)
