I did that as my first cosplay.

It was IMO easy enough, but I made the mistake of purchasing cheap ass shit fabric for the scarves, ugh. Painting everything on was fun though, as well as dyeing.

But yeah, if you want to pile on beads, it starts to add up.

it's really hard to actually find art that follows the canon descriptions in the book about size (like on the cover, he is WAAAAY too big, his human parts are still human sized) and physical appearance, but at least this fan art has him with shoulders and arms, like he should be.

Would love to do this one day, obviously with a cart and some kind of system to move me around. I imagine the worm body would just be empty and imobile in the cart.

That actually looks like it's supposed to be cross stitch, which is the easiest embroidery to learn. It would suit the style of the costume too, it looks like it's supposed to be some kind of vague morass of middle eastern/balkan.

I'm undecided, but the details on the Dissidia version of her outfit are a lot easier to make out and the outfit is more detailed as a whole, so probably. And thank you, I hope I do too!

The cherry-on-top of this dream would be if I could get a full signer dragon formal wear gijinka group together. (Minus Life-Stream because I can't envision a gijinka of him being anything other than a hobo.)
Different styles of suits for Stardust, Red Demon's (featuring a Jack-style pimp coat), and Blackfeather, and a gorgeous flowy gown for Ancient Fairy. One day.
Pic is not the design I'm going to do, but it was the initial inspiration for the idea.

I want to do this for May Expo next year.
It'll be extremely difficult, and I'll probably tear my hair out doing it, but it'll be so worth it if I can do it to a good enough standard.
