I'm setting up my first taobao order, and I'm using taobaonow. I'm just wondering, some items come in different sizes, so sometimes the price comes up as something like 7.90 - 35.90
I'm wanting the smaller one, and specify that in my order notes, but in the little total at the bottom of the page, it's for the larger one...Will I be charged for the larger one? Or will it change once it's been billed for?

Picture related, I'm looking for something like this but I want to make sure it is thick/warm enough and will fit me properly (I'm really short so it's hard to find ones that aren't too long). I'm using taobaonow at the moment and brought a few things on sale. It calculates it as the most expensive price on the page (full price), however, I made a note that it was on sale + the proper price and when they invoiced me the invoice the total price had been adjusted accordingly.

When they invoice you for payment just double check that it's been adjusted properly (ie. the extra 20 yuen or whatevs has been slashed) and if not message them about it. I've found them ridiculously fast + helpful so far.

I usually shop through Yoybuy and have had no issues with custom sized cosplays before, but I sent the money for the deposit but i've been asking the agent if this is available, but I'm not getting clear answers. I assume it's a mixture of me not knowing the right way to ask, but when I did, they just said, "then what's the custom size that you want?"

Would I just then ask what measurements are needed? I don't want to be rude or keep asking too much. Or, should I consider buying this dress through another SS?

I honestly didn't notice, but I was kind of surprised how breezy the Dark Box dress was overall - somehow I thought it'd be the heavier slippery fabric they usually use for the cheap galaxy dresses for some reason. The biggest problem with small orders is that the cheapest shipping method rounds up to the nearest 1 kg (as said in the faq for SAL anyway) so if you only ordered up to say 0.5 kg, that sucks that you have to pay for 1 kg if the SS does round..

Airmail is usually the next cheapest but it can get expensive already. And of course, EMS is expensive for small orders.

So I think it'll still be expensive personally but compared to Western pricing in stores like F21, H&M, etc, it might be slightly cheaper with similar quality to the ones in the store when accounting for shipping.

Different anon here. The fur makes her look wider than she is (no neck too), and the extra fabric at the bottom which is meant to mimick the original coat design just makes her look like a lampshade. Okay I need to know if taobaotrends is pulling shady shit or if I'm just being paranoid. I paid $84.67 for 4.5kg EMS and then they e-mail me saying it was shipped via DHL. I received this answer when I asked why:

Has anyone else had an issue with customs in US returning their package to China?

As a preface, absolutely nothing in my order was a knockoff or even questionably so. It was all very basic black clothing. This happened about a month ago. I spent $80 for shipping so I was pretty upset about it, and of course no reason was given when I called the post office to find out what happened. Had my SS check the package for anything weird, maybe even a gift given by a seller, to make sure it's safe to ship. Nothing strange was found and the same package shipped to Japan with no issues.

Just wondering if anyone else in this situation has figured out a reason. I usually go through the customs in LA with no issues, but I moved recently so it went through NY for the first time. I'm reluctant to ship to the US again...

Also, I remember some people discussing the waiting time of Classical Puppets petticoats in the last thread. I ordered one recently and it arrived quickly so it seems they at least keep a ready stock for those.

Pros: Super freaking cheap! (only 64RMB) low heel is comfortable for all day wear, "false" clasp makes putting on these shoes a breeze even with long nails

Cons: sole is quite hard (insoles recommended), a bit slippery on some surfaces

Maybe it's just my luck but this last time I used them I just kept having problems. I had a similar issue with Yoybuy. Back in May I pre-ordered a Dear Celine lace bolero. Everything went fine and then three weeks after it was ordered I was refunded saying seller took too long.

i ordered 2 kigus from this shop, one summer one (thin, cotten, shortsleeve/shorts) and a winter one (full one like the listing) and both are fantastic. the summer one is light and airy and cozy, and the winter one is oh my gosh, so soft, super warm, and amazing. And they both have little buttzippers on them, haha. I haven't ordered the spyro one, but I can reccomend the shop in general. I do ask if you order this, if you can please post here about it letting me know if it was good too? I'd love to get it! Spyro was awesome!

The summer ones are quite thin, they won't really keep her warm but they're nice to lounge around in haha. It's like soft, thin stretchy material ( I couldn't say what it is, it makes me think of cotton kind of?) I have the totoro one, and the face it a little silly but not half as bad as some I've seen.

I know that Chinese customs are pretty strict with brands / counterfeits, even my SS states that it will not guarantee that your package will leave the country if you order a counterfeit named brand.

I was just wondering, how far does this go? I mean, how 'big' does a brand have to be for it to be noticed by Chinese customs? I've heard reports of Lis Liza stuff being taken, and I'm assuming Channel / other high fashions brand would be picked up, but are there any others people can give me a heads up on?

I love topping up my orders with jewelry (so cheap / light) and have picked out things on cards with Forever 21 / Lovisa / etc branding. Surely these stores aren't 'big' enough to raise suspicion, right?

I haven't found any shop that exclusively sells them / sells a large portion of them. Mostly its just stores that sell a bunch of different fashion jewelry from different brands.

I was pretty surprised actually, there was even stores that had Diva stuff which I didnt even think would be on their radar.
