they are just too close to where the manga is right now to start a new season, but if you turn SnK into filler central it will just be awful.

Don't fuck with straps. The anime is the shit that gave her the straps for her glasses. It was a mistake.
In the manga, in canon, she only has two different sets of eyewear: a normal pair of glasses, and a pair of goggles with straps for when she's battling.
Just using your regular glasses is fine.
Pic related: With the picture of her in her goggles, it shows straps. With the small pictures of expressions below, she's wearing her glasses, and there's no straps.

It takes *time* to make *profit*. Yes, it's been a huge hit, but even that isn't enough to make up for the budget yet. BD sales have better be good. Plus, as I've said before, if they don't do a season next year, it's all over for them, because the majority of the fanbase will just abandon the show due to forgetting about it.

I mean, it's not like it's a problem, all they have to do is go 1 ep per chapter and they already have more than enough material, but you never know with the Japanese producers.

Wearing a hoodie or sweater with the Scouting Legion symbol would be alright, but if you want the shape, then just buy a jacket that short without it having to do with AoT.

Maybe? With a lot of alteration, yeah. I feel like McCall's 6143 might be a bit easier to alter just because the notch of the notched lapel falls a bit higher. I know a few other people are using that McCall's pattern as well. Just make a mock up, or at least pay attention to the finished garment measurements as opposed to the size measurements on the back.

If I remember right, this group of cosplayers were not allowed to take the bungee jump with any props. So actually they jumped bare-handed, the photographers posted the photos online, without swords. Much later, the photos got posted on 4chan, and someone shooped swords in. I guess they can't be bothered to shoop realistic swords.

The first one I saw had the manga titans in black and white shooped into the background. This is an improvement.

As for the originals, you could probably find them on midori's blog. (I'm lazy to look, it's a pretty old post)

the foam boards are very durable, we have been carrying them around a lot and being p rough with them when we were crafting them, and so far nothing has broken, except for a couple of pieces on the swords because they are so thin. we just have to be careful with those.

We are hanging them with nylon webbing to our belt, attached to clips. I'll post pics of that when we are done. Everything turned out very light in the end, so it'll be easy to carry them around a whole day.

Seeing that just reminds me how 99.9999% of Marco fans only became fans after his death, and that's kind of off putting for me. I know I'm a minority when I say he became my favorite after the whole "The king doesn't want your body!" scene in the manga, because... God, I just felt so bad for him and was waiting for him to become a professional badass. But then the whole dead thing happened... Oops.
But yeah it just sucks that people take his death and make it his defining character point. When in reality, his death was more of a turning point for Jean (cuz I love Jean but he is/was an ass and it took losing his best friend to un-assify himself, if only slightly) and then merely a "Character Status" change for Marco.
(also can I just throw in, dead/half Marco jokes... Yes, they can be funny. Until they are overused. Then they get annoying. Like really annoying. Like I'm about to punch my computer screen annoying.)

The easiest way that would require the least amount of sewing would be to get a material with enough stretch so that it shapes to your ass and doesn't just hang there (if you can't find the right material, etc. you're going to have to put in a little more work so it doesn't just hang off your ass or suffocate it when you sit) From there it's basically a rectangle (depending on your assage, either a rectangle with a curve on one side or a straight up rectangle.) with the material gathered upwards at each end. Add some snap fasteners, boom.
What I've been seeing around is basically just: "Wow we can just cut a curve into this fabric and call it a day, holy shit!"

I'm really bad at explaining so a crudely drawn ms paint rendition has been prepared. But really it's just common sense.

so im the person who has been making the 3dgear and posting in this thread, this is me and my friends wearing them to Kraken con.

we were very pleased with the result, but they were a bit too big and clunky to walk around with all day, and the back piece didn't want to stick to us for too long, so for next con we will definitely remake the boxes a bit smaller and make the swords sturdier, as they pretty much broke during the cab ride back from the con. also Our harness system was a mess... remaking that too!

How con proof do you want it?
I made gear with cardboard and eva foam, threw it in my trunk, and did some spirited mountain driving. Also did some jump tests and run tests. I can do jumping jacks and high kicks no problem in them. Friend of mine stood in the middle of South Hall at AX with people bumping into it left and right with no problems. Durability was what I had in mind and that fit my standards. Dunno about yours.

I'd say foam board isn't, though. At least, not in major and/or hollow quantities.
