Casual lolita thread? I want to see some nicely coorded casual outfits! Also - at what point does an outfit stop being casual?

No wig, or natural looking wig. I saw a girl on tumblr wearing a split wig (gold and brown) and calling it casual.

Wear a domino mask. Class the place up a little.

personally I would not consider her style casual. She does her own spin on classic, but it's never looked or felt casual to me in any sense. Obviously she has dressier outfits that are 100% classic, but her everyday wear feels too dressy and put together for casual. Just my opinion.

Does anyone know where she works?

I think she has an office-type job as a translator.

>> No.7110520

>>7110511
ah, translating is usually pretty big bucks too. My friend lives in Japan and passed whatever their literacy tests are as well as has some master's degree now? And yeah, good money and there's always work. My job is nice, but I work from home so I never get a chance to wear anything out. I have even considered finding some dinky part time job that would let me dress up, just for fun, but no real clue where to look for something like that.

Why not just dress up at home? My job is pretty messy and involves body fluids so I am loathe to wear frills at work - it's become my casual/down time wear.

Nothing is as comfortable as pajamas for home wear personally. I guess I could easily toss on a skirt and blouse, but it's not the same for me if it's not a whole outfit with makeup, nice hair. And doing all that to sit at home for 8-10 hours a night (I work nights) seems a little silly?

>> No.7110648

>>7110644
I agree, I don't feel comfortable sitting down to play on my computer for a few hours and snack in layers of expensive poof. But good on anon if they do, I'd love to be able to wear lolita around my tiny apartment.

>> No.7110652

>>7110648
Yeah I am pretty jealous if they either have clothes that are super comfy for wearing at home for lolita, OR simply are fine with sitting around decked out no matter how uncomfortable it would be to someone else.

I personally can't do that, but I didn't mean to sound like i thought it was stupid for someone else to.

Yeah, I work in a hospital. By definition the entire environment is contaminated.

>>7110648
>>7110652
I guess I don't find my frills that uncomfortable? Like, I'm happy to bum around in a brand dress and watch TV/internet/make dinner. It's definitely not as easy as wearing a kigu around, but because my work clothes and me are "dirty" when I come home I immediately have a shower and get changed, so I guess it's my inbetween stage before I feel like I'm winding down for the night.

Usually cutsews more than blouses, but definitely a petti, maybe two.

Actually, in my opinion, translating is going down the drain. Right now there still is a lot of money in it if you can get in but there are increasing amounts of people who are fluent in multiple languages who are easily accessible because of the internet so outsourcing is increasing. And translating is a pretty boring job compared to others of equal pay.

>> No.7110787

I pretty much only dress up at home but I'd be worried about making food in my clothes. Eating is fine but it's more about the smoke and oil while cooking that worries me.

Does she go by anything else? I've got a folder full of pictures of this one girl who I think is her, since they look a lot the same. The girl I have made an improvement picture collage between when she was I think 15-18 and then 19-2X? She was kind of an awkward, average weight kid, and then lost just 15 pounds, learned how to makeup and fashion or something?? I don't know what happened but she looks crazy good now. It was inspirational, I guess.
I found her other pictures from her full name, but I don't want to post it if she indeed is lavenderlillies and doesn't want to associate the two.
