i want to order the shoe pictured here, but i'm really confused but this heel height and (what google translate translates as) "waterproof" business. the item page shows a bunch of similar heels, some with 1 cm/no heel and some with very tall heels.

The blue isn't such a cute colour, just so you know. It's more of a depressing hospital shade of blue than a bright sax.

The shoulders are also a little itchy, but no other flaws.

You can order them to have a fitted sheet instead of a plain flat sheet. You will have to tell your SS the size of your mattress.

I have a twin size bed so I ordered for that size with a flat sheet.

The cotton looks to be at least 300 count thread.

The stitching is straight and plain but single hook stitch so if you plan to use them with kids they will fall apart. Pillowcases typical North American size which is a plus.

I am washing them right now so I cannot yet attest to how colorfast it is.

But first impression is 10/10 imo.

It depends on how much you plan on ordering, in my opinion. Try having your SS ask for a time estimate before you order.

Depends on the shop. Sometimes they'll discount it, but sometimes they'll charge an amount between the cost of one item and however many you ordered.

So say shipping is 15rmb for one item and 30 for two. They may charge 20 instead. Your shopping service can tell you if you ask.

Not what I expected. But essentially it's like a circular duvet cover with a piece of quarter inch thick "packing foam/memory foam sheet."

So you can get it dirty but be able to machine wash it.

The material is super soft for the face and that is really well sewn. There is very little stuffing in the ears.

Over all I like it. Looks nice and gonna try it out for practicality which I am unsure of because I never had a rug like this before.

I have been admiring lolita for almost a year now, and I think it's about time I start wearing it. I have checked out all the stickies, FAQs, and browsed the catalogue, and I just have a question. Do you recommend a beginner buying replicas off of Taobao, before committing to Brand? I am seeing it as a kind of try before you buy deal. I'm really picky with my styles, I've searched all over hello lace/ lolibrary and collected all the dresses I like. Pic related.
I've been browsing all the English second hand comms I can find ( yet to venture to mbok etc) and sad to say, I'm getting a little impatient.

Closest otherwise I can think of for a nice starter piece is akane and alois with their VM style jsk, but that's out of stock atm. Magic Tea Party has some floral stuff too at the moment. You should check stores from time to time too. I find that if I don't watch them closely, pieces that are my style quickly come and go.

If you're looking for MM, you won't find most of the "nice" pieces on the English comms, or if you do they'll be very expensive. The best place to look is on the Japanese sites, and even then they're hard to find.

If you're looking for a substitute for MM and VM, try Innocent World. They have some similarly designed pieces that you can get cheap and much better quality than a replica.

For anyone who uses TaobaoTrends, have you guys had any problems lately?
It's been awhile since I ordered from them, and my items finally arrived at my agent on Sunday. I sent them the payment for shipping, and Colin emailed back saying they got the money and will be shipping the items out today.
The problem is, 1. It still says "received" on their website. Not Shipping Paid, or Shipped. 2. It's been around 3 days now since they said they "shipped it". I didn't get any confirmation email with the tracking #. I realized maybe they would ship the following day on Monday but it's now Wed(Thur in China.)
I emailed them today asking them the above questions, but I haven't gotten a reply.
Also, nothing on their website or in emails says they are on vacation for the Festival.

A lot of dresses have zipper problems at the waist (where the skirt meets the bodice) because of the seam. Sometimes if you just lubricate that bit of the zipper (not with oil or anything, I've heard bar soap) a bit, it should get easier.

I went ot bed, so sorry for the delay! But, yeah, honestly, besides the zipper, it's gorgeous. Yes, the fabric is shiny, but it's not like "omg cheap satin" shiny, it's intentional and pretty, the fabric has a sheen resembling taffeta, but even then it doesn't have that much shine.

The skirt is double lined, which is nice. All of the seams are finished, no loose threads or anything. The buttons are all really pretty gem, looking buttons. The ribbon for lacing the back is really nice and matte instead of that shiny ribbon you'll see a lot. The chiffon-y overskirt portion is nice and pretty, though I am worried that the sparkle bits may fall off over time. The bows are all attached securely. Overall I'm happy with how it looks. I'll try using wax or something to lube up the zipper!

Sorry I missed you! I don't know if you wanted me to review the Shiemi or not, but I'll do it anyways! So, basically, it's off the hook. It blew my expectations away (mind you, they weren't very high).

The big, main pieces (kimono and jacket) are both lined, which surprised me. They fit very well, actually. Also maybe it's just a me thingm but when I put it on and learned the sleeves were fucking legit kimono sleeves as in I could store my belongings in my sleeves it made me super pumped! It came with all of the accessories which were nice.

The only one I would complain about was the headpiece, the headband is a bit small and kinda ghetto, but I expected a lot less from a taobao costume anyhow (the goal of this costume was something I could have to lazily throw on for far away cons and lazy Sundays when I feel like being festive). The flower graphic on the Kimono is a bit pixely looking up close. The obi fits fine, but on top of the Kimono it looks kind of awkward, since it's not an real obi, it kind of sits at the waist instead of higher on the torso. Not a big deal, but it makes the feet feel kind of awkward. Also, the kimono has (to my knowledge, I might've missed something when I tried it on) only one closure, which is a ribbon on each side that I tie. This doesn't really close it thoroughly and even just walking around my room the top part of the kimono would open awkwardly. An easy fix.

Also I'm gonna lube up my zipper and hopefully that works! I've got some Rosebud salve that I think might work since I don't have wax available.

This is just my own observation so I could be completely wrong, but from what I've seen of the reviews of the wigs ordered of the pictured color and other colors sometimes seem shinier/thinner for some odd reason. Oh shoot, I'm one of the anons who ordered this wig. I forgot to do a review or snap a few good pictures of it before I cut it and gave it some fabric softener treatment.

I can describe it, though, and post (probably not the greatest) pictures of it after it dries off.
First thing, it's not the shade of blue like in the stock photo, it's a bit darker. It has strands of dark blue, a slightly lighter blue, and blonde hairs mixed together, and it gives the wig this weird tealish, grayish, greenish, bluish look, rather than the clearly blue color shown in the picture. It's not bad, just you can look at it and think blue or gray or green or teal or mixtures of these all at once when looking at it. I think it actually does make it look like slightly faded once-dyed blue hair, so I'm not really complaining. It might be different since I just tried the soaking in fabric softener for five days thing, it might not, we'll see.
Last thing about the color so you can maybe get a better idea of it for now, I personally think it'd make a pretty good Ciel wig color.
It was thick and long (before I cut it) and had the nice curls at the end. Looks okay, not much shine, except for in photo flashes and direct sunlight, but that seems inescapable for synthetic wigs anyway.
The 'part' is just one of those little circle/dot parts at the top, not really the lined, more realistic kind.

I just took it out of the fabric softener mixture about an hour ago, it's been sitting in there for five days. I'm kind of experimenting with this wig, next I'll be trying the vinegar soaking method.

The fabric softener thing doesn't do much besides act like a detangler. I did it to a couple of my older wigs and I was really underwhelmed with the results. I washed out the residue because it was really gross feeling and just put in some silicone spray.

I posted the other day about how my agent said they were going to ship my items out on Sunday, then dun goofed and didn't hear from them till Wed. Oh my god mine did the exact same thing, I thought I was just too fat. I literally cried because I love that dress so much and I thought I was too big for it. My fiance and I struggled with that zipper for had to have been an hour at least and finally we just gave up. Yeah man, the struggle is real! Also invisible zips have shitted out on my for other garments, I guess I was just surprised because my previous purchases from chess story have been fine. I've gotten to lubricating the zipper with Rosebud salve and it's definitely improved but I still can't zip it up on my body (at least not by myself). Also, yeah, I mean, the dress has shirring, so even if you were a bit thicker, it should still be able to fit!

Yeah I fit according to the measurements they posted, but that fucking zipper was so stubborn and I didn't want to break it so I just hung it up and now occasionally I look at it and feel sad! I have that same feeling. My bags from Baby and AatP have come out beat to hell after only a couple of uses. It's frustrating. Meanwhile, Metamorphose and IW's non-novelty bags seem to hold up like nothing else. I've been using an IW Boston bag on an almost daily basis for over a year and it's held up great. I have the exact same problem with a dress from Infanta, as soon as the zipper gets to the waist part it takes me forever to get past. Try pushing down on the waist seam part and pushing it together there, if that makes sense. The seam at the waist seems to make the zipper have a hard time zipping past.
