Hey /cgl/
any pointers on how to make this hat (for a 1 year old)?

Ive looked up bucket hat tutorials, but theyre too flat on top. I've made aviator/ear flap hats, which have the rounded top, but Im not quite sure on how to attach the brim around it. Cant find a good pattern. There are a lot of knitting patterns, but I was looking to sew it.
Also, what kind of fabric would be good? Ive only used fleece-ish fabric for a aviator hat.
Thanks!

What this anon said.. you can buy them on etsy, ebay, cons.. hell, riot's jinx has them. Or you just buy a premade hat and sew shit onto it. It's hot hard at all.

If you play with this pattern a little, you can make a rounder hat. Ignore the circle pattern, it's the "side" patterns I want you to look at.

my concern is its for a baby. an adult, or even kids hat will be too big. unless they make them in a bunch of different sizes.

thanks! Thats almost exactly how to make the aviator hats. would I just then cut out a ring and sew it to the base?

I don't think a simple ring will do, you should cut a band that is curved (if you went with a ring, the brim will look very flat and not slopped down like Teemo's). I think if you look at bucket hat patterns, it'll give you the right band for it, and you just resize it to fit the baby and the mochi pattern.
