Bank of America did that to me once. They upped my credit card limit, mailed a new card out, cancelled the one I had on hand AS WELL AS MY DEBIT CARD, which they sent separately from the credit card, and didn't tell me. I found out when I went to buy groceries and had to ask my roommate to spot me my share.

I was off at college in the middle of bumfuck nowhere, so the cards arrived at my parents' place. The girl is pissed about the amount of people who are selling off their pre-orders in packages with other dresses. It's a popular second hand tactic, to sell two dresses together (often one highly coveted and the other they're trying to get rid of) and some people just seem to be using the preorders to do just that. I can't blame her though, if I hadn't managed to snag one that dropped out of somebody else's page, I'd also be furious. Weibo is flooded with people looking to exchange color/type/length or packaging it off. Not many scalpers though, Chinese lolitas as a whole hate scalpers, your purchase price must be higher or same as the price you're selling it for (with proof) or you'll likely be named and shamed for it.

Haha I never said anything about not knowing any Chinese however I have many Chinese friends who can barely speak it at best. It's really sad to see the discrimination they go through within their own race's communities and being called out as bananas and so on. Knowing French saved my butt a few times in getting internships because the requirement that you at least know some French (or you're really stranded on your own in Quebec sometimes) dwindles the amount of applications from 200 to about 10.

The price I had to pay for my dress from TBS was way lower than the storenvy price. I wonder if it's because I used my regular agent (I shop on taobao a lot) through email? Maybe storeenvy adds on fees to sellers, and they bumped it up to combat that? I just know my dress ended up being 20 bucks cheaper than listed.

I've said like 3 times in this thread that going through storenvy is $50 more expensive. If that's where you were pulling your figures from, that's why.

I ordered the day before yesterday as part of the reopened reserves for TBS. Maybe everyone who either doesn't use TBS or didn't have an open order is being directed to the Storenvy, but I both use them as my preferred taobao SS and just kind of tacked this on to my most recent order.

The skirt print looks awesome but the bodice is kind of plain in comparison. If they do an elaborate OP or a skirt, I'm totally on board - it reminds me of that special Marie Antoinette dress that Juliette et Justine showed at Frock On! two years ago.

On topic: got a short navy jsk from clobba and a long navy jsk from loli loli paradise; they were charging about the same (~$175 for the short JSK with shipping). Gonna see which length I like better when they arrive and sell the other to someone in my local comm, probably.
