Well not 100% of the time for all women, but I know some girls who've had to be hospitalized for horrible cramps and other period symptoms. I've never gotten them quite that bad but still bad enough to be crippled for a couple of days.

I've got PCOS, before I found that out and ways to lessen the symptoms, mine were so bad that I was bedridden for the first two days and in constant pain for the rest of the week. Crying pain, entirely disabled for those two entire days every month.

Even with them being better now, they're not a far cry from what they were before.

Men tend to under-estimate how much this shit hurts. There was a video where two men volunteered to go through labor pains via shocks to cause similar muscle contractions. They pussied out.

Go do that to a lesser degree and tell us that periods don't hurt that much.

Skipping periods altogether with birth control actually causes pain as well, at least for me. I've only ever intentionally delayed my period for two-three weeks at a time and it's given me pretty bad cramps while I'm doing that, and horribly painful periods. I can only imagine the pain would get worse if you were never having periods.
