Might be a dumb question, but just curious. How do people do Naegi's ahoge? Or I guess HInata's, although I'm only gonna cosplay as Naegi for now (have yet to read about SDR2).

I read that you either just take a part of your wig and keep it up somehow, maybe by like a wire and hairspray or something. Another method I read about was getting an extension that matches your wig (which could be a bit hard to do) and then attach it and keep it up somehow, which might be easier since it would be separate from the wig. But I'm not sure. I'd like some insight, please.

Just get a wig that's thick at the top and use hairspray and a warm blow dryer to make a piece stick up and curve the way you want it to. Now that heat resistant wigs are the norm it's really not a challenging or complicated thing anymore.

So what I did with my wig was I sectioned off hair on the top of the wig. I wet down the hair a little bit with a spray bottle, brushed it out and then applied hair gel. I held it roughly in the shape I wanted it in, and then I blow dried it enough so it wouldn't fall apart right away. I hairsprayed and coaxed the loose hairs into place with the backs of two combs (one to hold the ahoge instead of my fingers, the other to stroke with). I then used a couple of foam hair rollers pinned to my wig to support the ahoge as it dried.

I also used floral wire inside my ahoge. I inserted it in after I styled it, but I'm gonna try doing it beforehand next time I restyle my wig.

I actually like most of her stuff a lot. I love her Leon and she's one of the better Junkos though her wig could definitely use more styling and the tartan skirt fabric is a little off. Her Peko is the only one I'm not crazy about, but it's not bad, just okay.

I do think her wig looked a little too crunchy in that beach shoot, though I still like the pictures.

I'd be afraid that it might be too thick? Hifumi's hair looks super thin to me. I think that maybe, with some styling and patience, Arda's Rufio in black might work? That way you'd have the length for the ahoge and the bangs in in the front, but the rest of the wig would be a lot thinner.

His hair's thin but not super short, I don't think the Rufio would be a good idea at all. I think the Magnum makes more sense since they'll need the thickness at the top for the ahoge and can thin out the rest of the wig some with a razor without making it look like a buzzcut.

The Rufio isn't /that/ short on the sides, especially when you compare it to Arda's other short wigs. It's actually a pretty natural, normal length. At the very least, maybe get the Hansel? It's a just little shorter than the Magnum. I feel like getting a longer wig to lop a whole bunch off is just dumb when you could get one that's closer to the length you're going to need.

Any opinion on using a shaggy wig for a Mikan base? I interpret her "tentacles" as being messy, layered hair. I was thinking of getting a wig along the lines of the Jareth Long from Arda and making the layers more blunt along with the bangs. Do you think that would look alright or should I stick with a sleeker wig?

im actually using a jareth long to style my ibuki wig right now, and it is a REALLY poofy wig! i think you should get a sleeker wig. a lot of the layers on the jareth are too short to turn into mikans tentacles and the oooonly reason i picked it for ibuki was because i knew i was going to be replacing the bangs anyway. the bangs on it would stick out in a really unflattering way if you used it for mikan, i think! if you want to buy from arda i guess i would reccomend the delilah and some wefts so you can add yo it if youd like.

I think having some defined layers for her is good, but that particular wig has all its thickness at the top, which really isn't how her hair is? I sort of agree. A lot of them look over styled, like it was mentioned about her Komaeda earlier. The stiffness can take away from the overall appearance. For that Junko wig, the shape looks great, but I wonder if the flip effects could have been achieved without using so much gel or whatever is holding it together.

I want to make a Komaeda wig, but I'm not sure what to use as a base. Some people use a pure white wig while others tend to go for a slightly more dirty white/grey. Besides the color, would anything from Arda work well? I've been digging around taobao but I wasn't too sure on a choice yet.

I love her Junko and Komaeda wigs but I think her Leon and Peko wigs are pretty bad in comparison. But considering how many notes that Junko wig has on tumblr right now she could probably make a mint commissioning them. The girl in question isn't fat, she isn't the thinnest thing but she is by no means fat. I think your weight does affect your cosplay. BUT you can be fat and work for months on a costume and a thin person works for a week on it, that isn't really a fair comparison custom wise, of course the thin person is easier on the eyes but if the fat person worked harder it shows 100%.

From my own experience, a lot of times a photographer will direct you with how to pose/what kind of expression to make/where to look, and sometimes you do have to hold a pose for a while as they make adjustments to the exposure or whatever. How skilled your photographer is makes a huge difference in how things turn out.

I'm having trouble understanding what issue people have with SDR2 spoilers. The game's been out for two years and the SA translation is not the only one available. It's the slowest updating and multiple finished translations exist. Just kinda side-eying the lack of red laces. I know it can be difficult to find red fabric with a black-only plaid, but the prominence of the white in this particular skirt is a little off-putting.
