Well I won't name exact names but I will, however, be using some demonstrational pictures.

I came back from being abroad recently and was told there was a falling out between a couple of people at a party. One had decided that the other wasn't trans enough. Called him an attention whore, same old story.

So, it was down to me to ask for a wig back.

I'll use character names because then you can pinpoint the little shits on these pictures.

Meulin is the one causing the drama. She's got Dave's stuff still and is the one saying he's "not trans enough".

I messaged her on Facebook about four times saying something like "just give me the wig and I'll give it back, you don't need to even associate with each other" before I got a very snippy and curt response. At this point I was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt, maybe she was just pissed.

And that's when I found out about the guy she's sleeping with.

Understandably, Dave is pissed to shit. He's sticking to the back of the meet because if he goes near the girl he's gonna knock her lights out and then we'll all be in trouble.

(All the while the guy that's sleeping with Meulin (aptly a Cronus cosplayer) is ""in character"" flirting with me even after I've kicked him in the knee and told him to back off. Meulin is pissed.)

Again it's ratty Meulin, when she was "questioning bisexual" she decided she was going to start flirting with one of the girls in the group (Aradia) and I'm not entirely sure on the details but I think they did the nasty. However, when Meulin decided everyone sucks but her, she stopped talking to Aradia only then to get really really drunk, shove her tongue down Aradia's throat and the next day claimed Aradia "forced herself on her" and "was making her feel very uncomfortable".

Aradia, obviously, cut all ties.

For some reason Meulin decided to start talking to her again only this time, it's her "headmate" Phil.

Yeah.

I haven't heard much about it but apparently there's at least four people in the group who claim to have headmates. Couldn't tell you how many are actually faking it as only one person "shifted" during the meet. Meulin hasn't mentioned hers since the issue with Aradia. Totallyfakingit.

What do you guys think of zentai sutis for the Guardians?

I've considered wanting to do a Bro cosplay in a zentai suit and to go even further, a white wig. But I'd like some insight first, if that's alright.

so I rarely post here, and when I do I stay out of the drama. but I can confirm, as can anyone else who has been to meet ups with him, that he has been very touchy feely with girls who are underaged. people have spoken to him about it and he stopped, but then at recent meet ups he was back to his old tricks. I know of other shady things he has done as well, but I don't feel comfortable posting the details here. I realize that doesn't give me much validity, sorry for those who want the dirt, but it suffices to say that I feel a lot more comfortable going to meet ups when he is not there, and so do others. Granted, there are also many, particularly the younger crowd, who don't get why it is sketchy and like his attention who would not feel that way.

it's hard to tell how old people are at meets imo; i think there's a good range from 13-18, but half of them act like they're fourteen.
if you're looking for an older crowd, look for barstucks, which tend to be during/after cons and stuff
for regular meetups, the main question is, do you really want to hang out with a bunch of teenagers who act like they're autistic 70% of the time? if the answer is no, then just hold out for the older meetups to minimize insanity

Depending your location, that might not be considered old at all. I'm nearly 23, and have easily made friends with people younger and older than myself at both US, and Canadian cons/meetups. You just have to be choosey with who you hang around.
there are going to be really mature 17 year olds who are decent people, and there will certainly be really immature people in their mid twenties that you're going to want to avoid like the plague.

if you're intending on cosplaying, go with something that fits you. if you don't like shaving, go for Slick. if you're not rail-thin, Kurloz is probably not the cosplay for you.

Also, artists sometimes show up at meetups. they're usually not 15 and screeching about buckets. find them, treasure them. some of the best behaved homestucks i've seen have been artists who just sit quiet, chit chat and draw all afternoon.

A lot of them are now Dangan Ronpa, some Attack on Titan, and a few went to smaller fandoms and/or stopped cosplaying altogether. Another few went back to their old fandom, including one who I think was only on loan to Homestuck.

Some still Homestuck, and I know of a few who say they might have one or two more in them; maybe, maybe not. I wouldn't be surprised to see some old bnfs whip out a "farewell" costume when the comic ends.

I was there for this, it was fucking horrible oh my god. They were (ofc) the homestucks who used splotchy fabric paint for their skin, ratty wigs, etc etc. I was walking up to a restaraunt with a friend to grab a bite to eat and we saw a group of homestucks scrubbing at the walls, so we walked over. There was shit written EVERYWHERE, "SPIDER8ITCH, FUCK YOU, etc" all in trolls quirks. They had also defaced a starbucks and left w/o cleaning anything up, which made us have to clean up after them for a good hour/two hours or so. We found the people who did it from others who actually saw them doing it, and they all denied it like "lol haha we didnt do a thing!!!! what are you talking about?" and then one of them finally cracked under pressure and told us everything. It was fucking terrible, and I haven't involved myself w/ the local Homestuck group since.

My problem is that Militarystuck is good in theory, not in practice. Sorta like communism. The designs are kind of all over the place, as though the designer was trying too hard to create a 'neat and trendy' design. As stated, it's less militarystuck more like j-fashionstuck. A real Militarystuck in my opinion would be proper military attire instead of Gamzee in a skull kimono and a mask. On top of everything, horns do not fucking work like that no what are you doing no. It's like the horns are growing out of the hat. It feels like the creator got lazy around the alphas too, because their designs are so completely different (except that jane and roxy look exactly the fucking same with a different color scheme) that I think it was just laziness.

I've got a group in my state that do militarystuck and most of them are actually not terrible at cosplaying it, I just wish the designs weren't so over the top and insane. So props to anyone who can pull that shit off.

Jade: the gray is way too light. The whole color scheme is completely off, and hood is partially covering her symbol which should never happen. i was at this panel trying to put into words why i didn't like the panel (considering I spent most of it drun, i mean they're all lovely people, but can't into homestuck cosplay that well
i'm half tempted to go to the tumblrs of the ones i know and show them the crit, but the drama-scales would go off the chart and i'm not sure if it'll be hilarious enough
though the jade's ears are there, they're black (instead of grey) and hard to see on any of the photos, same with the kanaya's horns, the angle makes them look worse

I think you should show them the crit, especially if they have any delusions whatsoever that those cosplays are good enough for a panel. Plus there's nothing in the crit that isn't fixable. it's really all down to effort, not even talent.

Except that Tavros maybe because if they went out in that wig thinking they look good there's no hope for them.

yeah except its all the other purples that are wrong, the wig is closest to Eridan. What bothers me is that the style is so feminine, it makes the cosplayers face look super femme, especially when paired with that lipstick

I follow her method for making horns and it's the best method I've seen yet. They're much nicer than model magic horns. I personally dont care for the default texture she gives horns but it says she does other textures too
