Honestly, I'm not really sure where to start. I've never sewn anything formal-ish before so I'm terrified of spending a lot on nice fabric and fucking it up. I'm currently trying to pick a simple formal costume to make this year so I can eventually build up my skills to the point where I'd be comfortable finally tackling this dream. One idea I had for the petals was to do them in red casa satin and add black rose-patterned lace over that. Pic related is kind of the effect I'd be going for, it's the best example I found in a quick google search. I'm not sure if it would actually work for the gown or just look stupid, though.

There's a cute fan art I've seen of the signer dragons personified, which was my initial inspiration. I've done some sketches here and there and I sort of have an idea of how I want it to look. The only things I'm not sure about are how to incorporate the dragon's neck and wings. I want to portray the neck via the bodice of the dress, but it sort of looks like armor to me which I don't think works with a ball gown like this. For the wings I was thinking a shawl of the same petals as the skirt but I thought that might be petal overkill. The wig is going to be a pain, too. Anyway, I guess it's just about me improving and practicing and then eventually going for it.

It would be a bonus if I could get some friends to do formal versions of the other dragons with me, different styles of suits for Stardust, Red Demon's, and Black Wing and a flowy, elegant gown for Ancient Fairy. I'm not sure if we could do a formal Life Stream, though, since he kind of looks like a muscly hobo who crawled out of the woods (and Power Tool would just be a robot handyman). But I'll be incredibly happy if I can just make Black Rose the way I want to. I'm terrified and excited about tackling this dream project one day.

I'm not huge into pep. I've seen a lot of poorly proportioned or entirely too angular costumes come from pep files. If I made my own armor, I'd want 100% of the work to be my own, including patterning it myself. I understand that using and properly sizing pep files isn't all that different from using a sewing pattern, but it's just not for me.

The Gatchamen were super heroes of their time. Crowds is a reinterpretation of that super hero theme set in 'modern' times with a more realistic setting. In a time period with so much social media and interaction, and the speed at which we spread information, the idea is that the world doesn't need super heroes like the Gatchamen anymore because people can quickly spread information about disasters to which the proper authorities and people that specialize in handling the situation can respond to quickly, to which the in-canon argument is that the Gatchamen are still needed because the general populace are not capable of being heroes on their own and are not responsible enough.

The MC is a Gatchaman that also believes that the people can be properly motivated to better society on their own without the need for the Gatchaman.

It's not the "learning curve"- it's the genre itself.

I was told by friends who had been playing for a while that I was doing exceptional for a newbie when I started playing, so the learning curve wasn't an issue for me at all. It was just:

1. Since MOBA is all about playing with other people, it wasn't a fit for me. I'm incredibly self-sufficient in games so having to rely on others, especially at the low level when a lot of my team mates were complete morons, was aggravating to say the least.

2. Repetition. Again, it has to do with the genre itself. The game isn't intended to be this wide world created for exploration with lots of things to do and places to go. The only variation in the game is different Champ playstyles and team make-up.

SH:C and Grandia 2 are my favourite Jrpgs of all time. I love the darker storyline in both and the characters were fantastic. The soul ring in SH makes combat feel less boring.
